“Good hotel ... great location”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2013

The Temple Bar Hotel is right in the middle of everything in Dublin. It's within walking distance to most sights and close to many shops and bars. There's a grocery store right across the street which is nice.
The hotel itself is very well appointed and the staff was more than courteous. We got to the hotel prior to check in time and the room was not ready. We left our bags with the desk and went to explore Dublin. When we returned, the room was ready and they helped bring our bags to the elevator. The room was not huge but big enough for my friend and myself. We had a room in the inside. This typically is a good thing from what I have ready but due to the high winds outside it made it sound like a hurricane outside. The beds were comfortable enough and the room came with basic services (tv,table, ect). The bathroom was nice enough for the short time we were there.
Would I stay here again if I was in Dublin? Probably just based on the location and the attitude of the staff.

Room Tip: Typically the inside rooms are quiet compared to the one's on the street. It just didn't tu...

I stayed in this hotel with my boyfriend for a couple of nights over new year and we thought it was a great hotel.
You couldn't get a better location, its right in the centre and wasn't noisy either considering how central it is. There is a tescos right opposite and plenty of bars, restaurants and touristy shops surrounding the hotel.
We payed for room only but ended up having breakfast in the hotel every morning as it was so reasonably priced and good food.
Would definitely recommend this hotel, good value for money.

Room Tip: Choose a back room on a high floor if possible to eliminate noise

Second time to stay at this hotel in the last 6 months and This stay was as good as the first. Got an upgrade on arrival, Room was huge for a city center hotel. Bed was super comfy. Room was spotless. great sleep and never heard a sound till cleaners the following morning. I had a room on top floor towards the back which is probably the place to be as it is in Temple bar which is a busy area of the city. The location is a big selling point for this hotel, It really is in the center of everything from Bars, Restaurants and all things touristy. Staff are wonderful and friendly and always on hand to help. Big Thank You to Bernice in reservations for all her help with My booking. I will be back. Thanks. Tom.

Stayed here as a group of 8 in 3 rooms for 3 nights and it was the perfect trip.

The hotel is very central and the staff are fantastic. Our flight wasn't until 10.30pm and we asked to keep 1 room on until we were picked up. We payed the tiny fee to keep 1 room on and we told we could have the room until 6pm. When we came back from shopping on the day of departure, the staff told us we could have the room right up until we were picked up, for no extra charge. They even gave us extra cups and tea and coffee for the room whilst we were waiting to be picked up. They gave us advice on places to go and see and were so helpful.

We had a huge selection to choose from at breakfast and were kept topped up with tea & coffee (and hot chocolate).

Nice comfy beds, huge wardrobe space and a lovely bathroom, 2 hairdryers and a tv (with lots of channels).

Next time I come Dublin (hopefully again this year) I would definitely book into the Temple Bar Hotel again.

When I arrived my friend had already checked in but she had gone out shopping. This wasnt a problem and the very friendly guy on reception furnished me with a key and away I went.
We stayed in a twin room. Rooms are really large with plenty of storage space andlighting. Beds were really comfy. The location is perfect. Only a few minutes from all the best bars in Temple Bar.
We ordered breakfast to the room and this came on time and was fresh and very warm. After a night out in Temple Bar it was a real treat to have breakfast in bed.
Would defintitely stay here again.

We stayed in a triple room here for €100 on a weeknight. The hotel is very close to Trinity College, Grafton Street and obviously in the heart of Temple Bar right in the centre of Dublin. Perfectly located! There is a Tesco just across from the hotel and an overnight car park (Fleet street car park) about a minute up the road past the hotel. Lots of bars and restaurants on your doorstep, all within walking distance. The hotel itself is nice, clean and comfortable. Nice staff. Bar and restaurant attached. We were near the back so did not hear any noise from the street. I would go back here!
