“big rooms, great staff, great stay”

we travel to Europe frequently and these are the largest "standard" rooms we have found. This is a great hotel for American travelers who are not accustomed to European sized rooms. BTW the fireplace controls on on the remote in your room that also controls the large flat screen TV. This hotel is about a 20 minute walk from St Stephen's Green, or a $8€ taxi ride from Temple Bar. The buses also stop right in front or the hotel. The neighborhood was pleasant and there are shops, pubs, restaurants etc close by.

The best aspect of this hotel is fantastic staff. The friendly front desk and bar/bistro staff was very helpful and we found ourselves spending more time in the bar/bistro because of them. The food is very good and you'll find the lunch rush is mostly locals popping in for a pint, a bite and some business. We didn't make it to the Vanilla Club that's open on the weekends, but judging by the clientele that we saw it's definitely worth checking out!

In our room, as is standard in Europe, no shower curtain just a swinging glass splash guard and 1 hair dryer on the wall in the bathroom and 1 hair dryer in the top drawer of the desk (in front of a mirror).

We will stay here again when we return to Dublin.

I stayed with my boyfriend at the hampton for 3 nights. I booked it based on the very good reviews on tripadvisor.
the hotel itself is modern, we stayed in a select room and those are pretty spacious and fancy. sadly the bed had 2 mattresses instead of one, which was annoying. In the first night we had a room in the floor above the nightclub. we couldnt sleep till around 4am. was ways too noisy. we actually chose a hotel in a quiet area and had no idea that there was a nightclub in the basement of the hotel. be aware of room 208, it s pretty noisy in the weekend! gladly we could move to a room in the 4th floor.
the breakfast is not really how it should be in a 4 star hotel. the price was moderate, but the quality was bad. the croissants were old, the fruit salad tasted like fridge and the toast was half burned. The food at the restaurant was even worse.
the infos of the receptionists were amazing. they were always friendly and helpful.
the hotel is nice, but the breakfast and the nightclub are a big minus. next time we would book another place to stay.

We spent three nights at the Hampton this November. While it's true the hotel is a relatively easy 20 minute walk into Dublin center, the walk is a little less pleasant in the cold and rain. We took the bus a few times, and only once did we have to wait more than ten minutes. If you're traveling to Ireland in the winter, you may want to find a place closer in. But in the spring and summer, I would not hesitate to book a room here.

That said, the hotel is clean, modern and has all of the top amenities for which you'd pay a good deal more for in Dublin center. (My one complaint would be that the restaurant seemed far too expensive for a hotel out of the center of town.) The best part? HEATED BATHROOM FLOORS. Definitely a worthy stay.

The large white building lit up and decorated is impressive when driving up to it. It gives a very good first impression. There's a bar, restaurant and trendy club on the premises. The reception staff are helpful and gave good restaurant and sight-seeing suggestions. The decor is trendy and contemporary. The room was a comfortable size, the bathroom was spacious, new and clean. We especially liked the digital fireplace. Unfortunately we found the sleeping quality poor. The bed was short. Albeit, we are tall, we have travelled quite alot and haven't had this problem. Breakfast was ordinary. The loaction is very good in a charming area of Dublin called Donnybrook. It's a 20 minute walk to the downtown area (there's also a bus). Overall we had a good stay.

The botique Hamptontayed in in Dublin was excellent. The rooms were clean and fresh, breakfast was great and the staff were very pleasant.
The botique style is an eye opener for an oldy like me but was decked out in a nice colourful manner.. It is a comfortable place to stay. Would recommend it be put on a place to stay list.

We stayed at the Hampton for two nights on 12 & 13 November, solely on the strength of the glowing recommendations on TripAdvisor. Everything that had been said about it was true - it is a lovely hotel, very accommodating with charming staff. We had a large and comfortable room on the first floor - but that was where the problem lay for us. It was directly above the nightclub, which (understandably - it is a nightclub after all) played very loud music until the early hours of the morning (at least 2.00am on both nights). It was not possible to sleep with the thudding and booming of the music and the chatter of guests beneath our window. I don't know if the club operates every night, or only at weekends, but it did rather spoil what would otherwise have been a first-class experience. If I were to stay there again (and I would not rule it out), I would definitely ask for a room in a different part of the hotel.

the German girl at reception was great, we had asked to have the heat on in the room before we arrived and to our surprise it was, just remember to leave the bathroom door open at night to let some heat in from the room ,the rad in the bathroom did not heat it enough for the next morning, i would return to this hotel, the rooms are fab. my only problem is the night club is advertised as '70'80'90'00 today and over 26 we knew one track the music was more suited to 16 to 18 year olds.pity you should not have false advertisement
