Went to Dublin to see Hairspray the Musical. This hotel is a 10 minute walk to the theatre (which was why I chose it, close to the theatre). We where greeted on entering the hotel by very welcoming reception area. The staff where friendly and very helpful. Our room was to the front on the first floor. Room was large, bright and airy, Beds very comfortable there where two large double beds in our room and you still had the feeling of a lot of space. Room was spotless, as was the bathroom. Over bath shower had multi function facility giving you ordinary shower, power shower, pulse shower there where about 6 settings on it. We had our evening meal on the first night at the hotel, we had a very reasonably priced t-bone steak for 23 euros each. We where staying on a Bed and Breakfast basis, breakfast was excellent, there was quite a variety of cereal, cheeses, cold meats, fruit, and of course the full Irish cooked breakfast too. Would recommend this hotel. Street outside not very attractive but as a base hotel was excellent value and well worth a visit.

Beds really comfortable and room was spacious and clean. Hotel was near by Dart-station and just 15min walk from Temple bar which just was great for us! The only one thing which we did not liked was breakfast. Fried eggs were like plastic, tea was not really hot, cheese- and ham-plates were almost always empty and there was not healthy options. I do not count just musli and yoghurt healthy. Should be more fresh fruits or even veggies for toasts. If you prefer just english breakfast, it might be good.

It was a good experience. I booked it based on reviews here on TripAdvisor. I stayed at the hotel with my Mum for her surprise birthday trip to Ireland for 4 nights in July. Here is what we thought:

Good points:
- Fair room rates (for what you get).
- Extremely clean.
- Very comfortable beds.
- Large rooms.
- Great customer service and friendly staff.

Bad points:
- Wifi is not complimentary. There is a fee for this service.
- No view from our room.
- It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the centre of Dubin.
- No safes in the room for guests' valuables.

We didn't have breakfast or any meals in the hotel so we cannot comment on this. Aside from the 20 minute walk from Temple Bar, our experience at The Pearse was a good one and we would both stay here again!

Was at the hotel last week for 3 nights. Hotel is ok, breakfast was good as was the shower, very powerful and hot. The only downside was no view from the room, just a brick wall and the bed was not vert comfortable.
Its about a 15-20 minute walk to the centre. Some reviews said the area was rough, I found it to be ok, even at night. Be warned, Dublin is expensive for food and drinks.
A taxi from the hotel to the airport cost us 20 Euro.

Location was good, just a walk down the street for the tour bus, but a fair bit further for the town centre.
Breakfast had limited options, dirty bowls and cold tea, but the hot buffet was edible.
Rooms was ok but a bit dated, very old TV and 4 channels, beds and main room was clean but the shower curtain was mouldy. We stayed in a twin room with two double beds, but there was only one towel in the room. We called reception who said they would bring another one up, half an hour later still no towel, so I went to reception, got one straight away which was ok, but the other towel turned up another half an hour after that!
The worse part of the stay was the reception service, we made one change to our reservation before we got to the hotel and when we got there two rooms had been cancelled instead of one, even though we had printed confirmation of the changes and agreed rooms, the hotel reception was very unhelpful and rude, made us reprint the confirmations, even though we had it already printed, told us it was nothing to do with them and our fault for booking through a 3rd party booking site, they said they would not give us a room without another booking reference and told us we wouldn't find another hotel because Dublin would be booked up. When they eventually helped us they said 'your lucky to get this room'. Really didn't make us feel welcome at all.

I was here for a night on a road trip. Most of the other reviews are correct. This place is blah! The tv was oooold! And I was charged for a movie that never played. Had to go down to get a credit. FYI, evening Traffic in the area is horrible so everything takes twice as long. I didn't feel safe going for a walk alone at night and it was my birthday. But maybe I will go back .....
