Hotel was a little further out than most but nice to be able to walk a bit or catch the bus up to the centre all felt very safe. The hotel was clean and the staff really helpful and friendly. Food, breakfast and meals at the hotel were excellent . Thouroughly enjoyed the stay and would use the hotel again.

Ideally located for the city centre.Very hot as no air conditioning.Noise at night was a definite issue and travelling with small children may be an issue as noise from adjoining room audibly loud.Beakfast was again adequate but on last morning my child asked for cheese(was there previously but all used),we enquired and were told by a member of staff that there was none, what was put out for breakfast was it.Location and staff at front desk are this hotels best assests.

Room Tip: If travelling with children ask for rooms on higher floor.

On arrival there was a male and female at the desk. The priority was to enforce payment in full immediately as we were paying cash not card even though we gave a card no on booking for security. We asked to see the room first to check it met standards. The gentleman was keen to accommodate but the Rottweiler like "lady" said even if you do not like it you pay in full. She was so rude. The room smelled of smoke and had slit non light producing windows like a jail cell.We did on request get moved to a much better room but cannot understand when there was a nice room available why we had been allocated a dump. Was this because we were northeners?Saving grace was the kindness of staff on departure day and our car would not start. One male hotel employee was an angel and redeemed the facility to some extent.Main bus route but access by taxi into town works out expensive-better to pay more and stay further into the city.

Beautiful hotel, extremely helpful and happy staff. Little far from town centre but accessible to all areas by tour bus, which stopped daily right outside hotel. Lovely food too. Would stay again for sure, young nephews loved it.

First complaint was the car park,.found it hard to find one of the few allocated spaces for residents. When we did find one it was tiny. Most of the spaces have a pillar in the middle of them.
Having got the card to our room we found it to be a smoking room, (we requested non smoking).
The room smelt strongly of stale smoke and the decor was dated and grubby.
On complaining to reception we were told, just because we requested a non smoking room doesn't mean we would get one, and when I pointed out that we booked in Feb the guy sarcastically said, well some people booked in Jan.
In fairness to Catherine she sorted us with a different room which was better but still could do with a freshen up.
Breakfast was good and the girl in reception was very pleasent and friendly.
