Stayed here lately because we were going to a show in the Grand Canal Theatre. It is only about a 3 minute walk to the theatre. The hotel itself is really nice. A fantastic buffet breakfast. We also had dinner in the bar before show. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The rate for the two of us for B & B was only €69. The staff were friendly and helpfull. I must make special mention of the barman. Didnt get his name. He had a beard. He was excellent in his service and manner. Great value hotel. If you are goiong to Grand Canal Theatre you wont get better value. Will be back.

We stayed at the Pearse Hotel over New Years on a girls trip away and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the rooms and the value for money.

The room had lots of space and large beds. The bathroom was a good size and had a great shower. Staff were friendly and helpful with directions and advice.

It is a short walk from O'Connell Street (main street of Dublin).
In the evenings we would catch a cab which only came to 7 or 8 Euro's to Temple bar.

The Pearse Hotel used to be a Holiday Inn but it's not now, and seems the better for it. We use it regularly for business and its Conference facilities are ideal for us. The hotel was built in 1998 and the rooms need a refresh. They are dated but clean with comfortable beds. What sets the Pearse apart are its staff. They seem, quite simply, prepared to do anything they can to help. Once the rooms are updated this hotel will be excellent. The location isn't stunning but I am not sure it is quite as bad as others here claim. We'll be back in Janurary...

I booked this as a Holiday INN,but it changed direction some two months ago.
About 15 minutes walk from Trinity College gives it a big plus on situation.
My stay was marred by Dublin floods and the non operation of the lift (not their fault).
Ate in the Brasserie and probably would not do so again ,but the friendly service was excellent.
Vaue for money was good.
I felt that a "makeover" was required

Room Tip: Avoid the front
