when we arrived the room had two twin beds a quick call to the front desk resulted in a room redo...hey presto a queen size bed:)
Parking was convenient and reasonable.
Breakfast was good though a little pricey.
All staff we dealt with were very friendly. Hotel was very clean.

We stayed at the Hilton in Dublin (near Stephen's Green) and had a great time. The hotel is an easy walk to the main attractions, Stephen's Green, Trinity College, Grafton Street etc..

The rooms are very nice -- actually quite spacious...nice beds, linens, bathrooms etc..

What made our experience special is that we arrived at 6 AM the day of our reservation off of an overnight flight -- the hotel desk clerk let us in and instead of just having us drop our bags and return at 2 PM for check-in he simply gave us the room right then and there. We were able to take a nap, shower, and then get out and really hit Dublin. Without his kindness and courteous reception I am very certain the first day would have been much harder to get through.

Some other reviewers have noted that there is a LUAS station right outside of the hotel which is extremely convenient but we didn't use it -- its really too close to the city center to be necessary. There are some complaints that the LUAS is loud but in my view unless your room is on the track I doubt you would hear it. Even standing within inches of it when it rides by its a very very quiet electric train.

We stayed at the Hilton Dublin Hotel for a weekend break, and having read some reviews before we left we were slightly concerned that it was infact a hundred miles away from the City Centre! Wrong! This hotel could not be better as it is just 2 stops from St Stephen's Green (about 5 mins away) by Tram, and the station is directly outside the hotel's front door!
The hotel itself is located on a canal front, and is of modern design. The Reception area is bright and spacious, and always very welcoming. Check in was excellent, they even acknowledged our special occasion (our anniversary). We were given a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe room on the club floor. The room again was of modern design, functional, and very clean. Not the biggest club room I have seen, but for the 2 of us it was perfect. Our only gripe - the mattress! It was a bit on the firm side, resulting in a restless night's sleep. This however appeals to some therefore we couldn't really complain about it, it comes down to personal preferences.
We had dinner in the main Restaurant on our first night, which was included in our rate. This was a 3 course meal, with a varied and ample menu. Service was excellent and the food was very good.
Breakfast was in typical Hilton fashion, a good choice of hot and cold from a buffet. On our 2nd night we had bar food in the Stil Bar. Although a bit on the pricey side, portions were generous, and in our opinion above average hotel lounge food. If you are into cocktails, you must try them out! They have a wide selection of classic and modern cocktails, prepared by some very talented cocktail bartenders. They definitely gave Tom Cruise a run for his money.
Each time you passed the front desk you were warmly acknowledged which was nice. The staff seem genuinely interested in your custom.
As we had a late flight out on the Sunday, we were able to store our belongings, and returned for them later in the day. There is a concierge on duty during day times, who is also very helpful.
All in all, this hotel exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely return. Next time though, I think we ought to take a bit more cash, Dublin is not a cheap weekend away, so beware, expect to pay around 5-6 Euros for a pint!
Thank you to all at Hilton Dublin, and we are looking forward to our return.

Travelled to Dublin on the spur of the moment and decided with the Hilton. Arrived at the hotel about seven in the evening. The lobby area is quite nice, and the receptionists poite and friendly. Checkin was fairly swift and was up to my room within about five minutes of my arriving.

The room was clean modern and spacious, and served its purpose. Ordered room service that night and altough very expensive (over 40 euros for one main meal with wine) was lovely and filling.

Location wise; altough not in the heart of the centre, there is a tram line across the road which takes you straight to the town centre so this is quite convinient. Its also worth noting to maybe purchase one of their day use passes, similar to a London travelcard.

All the staff I came across seemed fairly polite, altough a bit flustered at times; some areas seem to have a shortage of staff to accomodate to the volume of guests.....but they did their best.

The only bizzare feature of this hotel is their lift system. Once you get into the lift, you have to insert your room card into a slot then press the button to your floor. But you have to do this before the door closes otherwise you can be in for quite a wait...especially having to lumber round for your room card. Not sure if this is maybe a security thing!

All in all, an ok hotel, I may stay here again if I cannot get somewhere closer to the centre if I visit the area again.

My wife and I stayed at the Dublin Hilton from September 8 - 13. The experence was great. We had breakfast included which was a typical European breakfast. The room was larger than expected with a bigger flat screen TV and a mini bar that we had them empty so we could use it as a frige for beer and soda. We asked for an interior room and it was quiet.
The location is about a 15 minute walk to the Grafton shopping district and about 30 minute walk to the Henry Street shopping area. The main tourist bus stop was about a 20 minute walk, just past the Grafton area. We recommend the "Wild Wicklow" tour for a chance to have fun and see the countryside.
The front desk staff was incredible, especially jennifer and Anygosit(sp).

Hotwire sold this hotel to me as a four star. It is most definitely not a four star hotel. They also claim it has a gym, but it does not. They arrange for you to use a public gym a half mile away. However, any gripe there is with Hotwire, and I can see that on Tripadvisor it is more reasonably classified as a three star hotel.

I thought this place was great. It is a little but out of the way, but I think that is very adequately reflected in the rate. It's next to a little canal you can run along, I enjoyed that.

There's a tram that will take you part way to the center of the touristy section, but it's really a very short walk. Coffee and tea are provided in the room. The interior hallway walls are yellow brick and the decor tries to work around them. They do the best they can, but....In general, the hotel is not pretty. There is parking on site and access is easy. I would certainly stay here again. For the price it's a terrific spot. I had a very good experience.

This was one of the best hotels i have stayed in, in Europe. Very nice sized room with a queen bed and full sized bathroom.. it was like being in the states. The outside is a little outdated, but the rooms are not by any stretch, very modern. It was also conveniently located by the LUAS which doesn't really go anywhere, but it does take you to St. Steven's Green, which is close to Grafton street. The room I had came with a great view of the canal, although I heard a road close by was undesirable, so just be careful at night. Now I stayed alone and never once felt unsafe.
