Hotel is a little bit south of town (maybe a 20 minute walk)...We found that to be a plus...far enough to be away from crowds/noise, but easy walk to Guinness Store House (~30 min), Jail (~40min), and center of town. Rooms were clean and well taken care of. Breakfast was typical Hilton (excellent)....Later in same trip we stayed at Hilton by airport...would definitely stay at the Charlemont property if I return...not sure I would stay at airport property.

I stayed at the Hiltion for 2 nights. The room was very nice. Good location, excellent breakfast.
The service was good and kind.
And the most important think is the bar next to the Hotel which works till 12:30AM during the week!

Room Tip: Ask for higher floor.

My Husband and I stayed here from the 14June for a long weekend, we were worried to ba a little way out of Dublin Centre, we should not have been, we short walked into the centre, but were in the right place for the Tram and Buses not far from the Airport bus stop. The Hotel Reception staff were excellent making us feel welcome from the onset and the breakfasts were wonderful, everything you could ask for was waiting for you even freshly baked muffins!! The staff in the restaurant were exceptional. We would recommend this Hotel every time.

Despite 10 a.m. arrival we were accommodated quickly to a spacious, clean room overlooking the Canal. Hotel staff unfailingly helpful, mostly with warm smiles, and special mention of Darren Espley of front office. Property seemed to easily absorb both the local meeting clientele and group traffic; kudos for the plentiful and comfortable seating in lobby area which absorbed waiting groups. Excellent buffet breakfast, tho recommend guests avoid the 8 a.m. crunch when there can be a short wait. That the elevated city tram stops across the street, and is just two stops from city center, was a boon, as was the location by the Canal where we often walked in the evenings, exchanging greetings with local families, looking at the barges parked along the path, and stopping at a local pub. Finally, this was THE most comfortable hotel bed ever!

Room Tip: Front of the hotel may be a bit noisy from traffic but the Canal view is nice; back of the hotel quieter and perfectly pleasant also.

We reached the hotel on a Wednesday, around noon hour, after an overnight flight from Montreal via Amsterdam, and were very thankful that we were checked in immediately. Our room was very nice and quiet and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Although the extra nights were not cheap, they were worth it, as we were able to get a good rest and see much of Dublin before joining our Globus bus tour. We certainly recommend this Hilton hotel to both business and pleasure travellers.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the inner square
