Disappointing and not up to standard. Ridiculous location and very difficult to find. Not new to Ireland, Dublin, or local hotels and this is sub par.

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights. It is a very nice, clean,
modern hotel. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was a nice size. The rooms were spacious and the staff was helpful. We ate the breakfast buffet both mornings and it was very nice with a wide selection. The hotel is
about a 15 minute walk into town. It is also located right beside a tram station that takes you into the town if you prefer not to walk. Next door to the hotel is a great pub called "The Barge." Due to being Honors Gold Members, we received free internet. You will have to pay otherwise for internet services. If visiting this area again, I would stay at this hotel.

Clean, flat screen tv, large (by European standards) excellent lighting. A bit south of major attractions, but closer than other Hilton property. A 10 minute walk to Hop-On/Hop Off Bus stop. AWESOME pub (The Barge) 1/2 block from hotel....3 levels with multiple bars and tastey fish & chips including salad. Hotel staff forgot to tell us about Hilton Honors Free Drinks & Appetizers from 6:00 to 7:00. Used points so not sure about room rate. We arrived 6:30 a.m. and Stefana was able to quickly get us a room and get a quick power nap.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a kind review on Tripadvisor.
I am delighted to see you enjoyed our guest rooms. I am also delighted to see you found our hotel such a good location and that you found the Luas so convenient and of course that the Luas did not affect your sleep. We have installed triple glazing and are delighted to see that it has helped. Thank you for your feedback regarding this.
We sincerely hope to welcome you back to the Hilton Dublin in the future.

Stayed here 5/15 to 5/17 2011.....nice rooms, GREAT People, very convenient location - we took public transport to the far end of town and then spent the day working our way back to the hotel on foot. This was our first hotel on our trip to Ireland and the staff was very patient with a multitude of neophyte questions - a situation made worse by the visit of the Queen and the fact that her massive security made everything so much harder....

Dear d4davis
Thank you for taking the time to leave such wonderful review on Tripadvisor.
We were delighted to see you enjoyed your stay with us and found our hotel such a good location. We are always happy to help with any questions you may have, especially since it was your first trip. Unfortunately the visit of the Queen made travelling through the city a little awkward but I am delighted to see this did not hinder your sightseeing.
We look forward to welcoming you back to our Hotel.

I had not stayed at this hotel for some time but managed to get a good value package for a Saturday night. The check in was polite and friendly but slow. The room was spacious and well maintained. The hotel has its own car park for which there is a charge. The cost of the Internet at 20 euros for 24 hours is the highest I have come across (and during our recent trip to Ireland it was the only hotel that imposed a charge). Although we were on the fifth floor we could hear a disco from the ground floor that disturbed my sleep. We were kept waiting for breakfast - even though there were tables ready - by being initially ignored by the staff. However, the breakfast was of good quality with a wide choice. The check out was brusque (just treated as someone who had to be processed quickly). It would not be my hotel of choice in Dublin.

Dear Marks069
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review on Tripadvisor.
I am delighted to see you enjoyed your room and our Hilton Breakfast.
I apologise for any inconvenience incurred by the price of the internet, unfortunately within our Hotel this is a Hilton Standard. I will of course discuss this with the managers again as an issue.
I am sorry to see you did not have a peaceful sleep, we did speak to the organisers on the night to lower the music so as not to impact our guests, unfortunately some rooms where still affected.
With regard to your breakfast service and check out, I have spoken to the manager of both teams, they thank you for your feedback and will relay this to their teams.
I hope that you will return to visit us in the future and that you will give our hotel another chance to redeem ourselves in your opinion.
We sincerely hope to welcome you back to the Hilton Dublin in the future.
Kind regards

The rooms at the Hilton Dublin are excellent with ultramodern facilities. The view of the Grand Canal from the hotel is just breathtaking. Traditional Irish food as served in the hotel is pretty authentic. Well connected to South Dublin and the trendy shopping areas. The staff were attentive and warm.
