There was 6 of us girls on a Hen Weeked and we have 2 triple rooms. The hotel was of a good quality and the rooms very spacioius and clean. The full english breakfasts was lovely and I would recommend this hotel to anybody staying in Dublin. From the outside it does not look much but once through the doors it is very good value for money. It is a 15 minute walk to Temple Bar but we found we walked there and caught taxi home so that was no problem.

as mentioned by other reviewers this hotel is not much to look at but once inside things get much better. our room was on the first floor and was very clean and tidy. nothing disturbed us during the night, had agood nights sleep, maybee it was the guinness! the hotel is only a 3 minute walk from the spike in o"connell street. if you take the 747 airport express bus from the airport you will be just a five minute walk to this hotel. breakfast was included, cereals and full irish. the hotels website quoted 100 euros per room but i booked via [-] (months in advance) and got the room for 80 euros. things to do; visit the jamesesons whiskey and try to get picked as a taster, after the interesting tour the lucky voluntears get to taste several whiskeys and get a certificate as a souvenier. the opentop buses are agreat way to see the cities main sites. great food at o"neils pub near grafton street and gogarty"s in temple bar. had a fantastic late night listening to the fast and furious irish music in the temple bar and gogarty"s pubs in the temple bar area, not to be missed. lastly, enjoy the beers.

Stayed 3 days, great location for getting around in Dublin. Had dinner there once, it was OK. Concerned about going in and out at night by myself (solo woman - would not recommend that). During day it is fine, just be careful. Hotel is about 1.5 blocks from bus station, very convenient for bus tours and bus to the airport. Also, about 4 blocks from O'Connell street. Rooms were clean, a little worn, and no great view from the windows. Also, the rooms, in september, were warm. Can't imagine what they would be like in July. But it was a nice place. I would go again.

Booked the hotel a week before arrival. Spent ages trawling hotels on the internet finding everything very expensive. Nearly booked a couple of hotels one of which was the travelodge until I hit the jackpot on a website I cant remember but offered this hotel which is cheaper, far superior and in a great location. a couple minutes walk to the spire, 5 mins to the river Liffey, 10 mins to Temple bar and 15/20 mins to Grafton St. I actually made the booking on the hotel website which offered a double room for 140 euros for 2 nights inclusive of an excellent hot buffet breakfast. Hotel is more than adequate for any kind of stay in Dublin. I would suggest requesting a room at the rear of the hotel for quietness. Overall a good hotel!

Stayed 2 nights at the Ripley Court Hotel over the Ryder Cup weekend (room rates had been inflated because of this).
Not a very appealing entrance but once inside I was quite pleased. Calm, friendly and efficient check-in. Relaxing decor with traditional feel in lobby. Room was on second floor at the front next to the DART elevated railway . Having read reviews about this I was concerned about noise. In fact the noise from DART was not intrusive at all.
Room size exceeded my expectations. Traditional decor, tasteful and relaxing. Spotlessly clean. Large, comfortable bed. Small shower room (which is common in older hotels) but functional.
Useful facilities including safe, hairdryer, clothes iron and board. Don't expect fridge / mini-bar for this class of hotel.
Buffet breakfast in dining room off lobby served until 1030. Good choice of hot and cold foods and plentiful.
Not the most appealing location but 10-15 minutes walk to Temple Bar, 2 minutes from bus station. Area is safe if a bit run-down but that is part of the city's character. Great pub along Talbot St. called "The Celt", one of the best pubs I've been to in Dublin for music and atmosphere.
I would recommend The Ripley Court to any visitor who wants a very comfortable stay at a reasonable price. However you will need plenty of euros for Dublin!

Place was average. Don't expect anything fancy. Food was ok. Room was ok. Location was good and close to city center/temple bar/etc... Just a short walk. Price was fair given the cost everywhere else is much higher. Cheap parking if you have a car ($7). Most places wanted about $20.

We have just returned from Dublin having had an enjoyable 3 days there. It is quite an expensive city but well worth visiting. The Ripley Court Hotel is a good standard tourist hotel and reasonably priced. Yes it's right next to the rail station and yes there is a building site next door. We were fortunate in that we had a room at the back of the hotel (322) and neither of these factors affected us and our stay was enjoyable. On this basis we would have no problem in recommending the hotel. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to O'Connell Street, 15 minutes to Temple Bar and 20 to Grafton Street so well placed. In addition it is only 5 minutes from the central bus station if you get public transport from the airport.
There is a restaurant called 101 Talbot about 5 minutes away on Talbot Street and the food there was fantastic. 2 course special was 21 euro. O'Shea's pub nearby serves good food too, the Irish Stew was very enjoyable.
Site seeing bus trip is good value and if you are a golfer there is a Ryder Cup exhibition at the National Gallery (one stop before the Jameson Whiskey factory), the cafe is good value too.
Finally the Guinness is wonderful, but you knew that anyway!!
