“Perfect location for train / bus station and city centre. Great value hotel too”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2014

We stayed for 2 nights on 22/23 Dec and were delighted with the hotel. Here's why:
1. Less than 200 yards from main Dublin train station
2. 150 yards to bus station and tram stop
3. Very comfy, warm room, with all mod cons and generous ensuite
4. Power shower worthy of point on its own (nearly blew me out of the bath!! - AWESOME)
5. Excellent service at reception
6. Access to tasty breakfast
7. Price - approx £40 per night
Possible improvements:
1. Wifi in room (but can you really complain at this price)
Easily deserved of 5 circles. This may be an aging hotel and in places might be looking a little tired but for what you get it is a BARGAIN.

Myself and my wife booked the Ripley Hotel for our New Year Eve trip to Dublin we stayed 31st December to the 2nd January. The price for the room was great (total bargain), the hotel was nice and clean and our room was very big and clean and the bed was so comfortable, the staff were also very polite and helpful and the breakfast in the morning was simply superb, the hotel is situated in Talbot Street a perfect location as you are only a short walk away to O'Connell Street and the Temple Bar area, the Airport bus 747 also stops right outside the hotel which was a nice bonus, we had a great time in Dublin and we also had a great stay in the Ripley Court Hotel can't wait to go back to Dublin and when we do go back we will be booking The Ripley Court Hotel again, keep up the good work guys.

Room Tip: We had a room to the back it was so quiet you never heard a thing.

We found the hotel easily enough and when we arrived the security guard came out immediately to let us into the parking garage even though we were not yet checked in to the hotel. Parking is available at 10 Euros a night, if you have need.

Check in was seamless, since we had made a reservation in advance, and the rooms they provided us were very spacious. We actually could have slept three more people even with our family of six, one room had a double bed and three singles, and the other room had four single beds.

We were within walking distance of O'Connell street, and could easily get to bus stops and other transportation for getting around the city. The hotel had hop-on/hop-off tour bus tickets at a discount so we opted to use that service for our stay, as most things we wanted to see were on the route, and we could have interesting things pointed out to us.

WiFi is available, but only in the lobby area, and we had trouble getting some of our internet ready devices connected. Our Apple "i"-devices connected readily enough, but we could not get our laptops connected at all.

Breakfasts were nice with dry cereals, breads, fruits, coffee, and juices available in buffet style, and deli style service for eggs, and breakfast meats. Breakfasts were not included with the room, but could be charged to the room for 8 Euro a person.

Checkout went smoothly as well, and they even allowed us to split our payment across payment methods. Very nice and affordable hotel.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms on the front of the building as the elevated train runs right outside the building.

Please could someone help with my enquiry.
What time are you able to check in from?

What is check out time?

Are there any luggage storage available for when you have checked out/ and to use until check in is available?

Are there any late check out available at a supplement.

Sorry to write on here I have tried on numerous websites to find this out and emails but nothing seems to be available.

This hotel is good and central. It's also very near the main bus station. We were given great service at the desk and the breakfasts were brilliant. I would recommend this hotel to any appreciative traveller. The tariff was affordable.

Just had another excellent stay at the Ripley. I love this hotel and have been meaning to write a review for some time. There isnt a negative to say about the place. Great proximity to the city centre, great value for money, spotlessly clean, homely, cosy and friendly. The staff are genuinely nice people and do all within their reach to help, from Dave on the front desk to the ladies and gents on reception, the owner even let me in his office to make calls when my phone was on the blink and wouldnt take a penny off me. On this most recent trip i arrived very early around 7 am far too early for normal check in and the lady showed me straight to a vacant room where i fell straight to bed after a long overnight journey from southern England, much much appreciated. For 8 euro you get an excellent eat as much as you like buffet breakfast of a wide choice. You are treated as a guest and not as a statistic on their takings list. Staying in Dublin ? look no further than the Ripley Court.
