“Getting rather "old".”

Friendly staff and a reasonable breakfast. However, no evening meals. There were three of us in a large four single bed room which was certainly on the cool side with only a single electric wall heater. As we were out all day, we made sure to leave one of our electronic door keys in the slot inside the room to ensure heat was kept on during our absence. Sadly this card was moved by the cleaning staff so we returned to a cold room.
The safe did not open either, so reception had to be called to open it and put in a new battery.
On the second morning of our stay we had a roof leak in the bathroom. Again reception was phoned and quickly got it sorted.
Wifi worked around the hotel lobby, but not in our room.
All the above sounds bad, but we did have a good weekend (Being at Landsdowne to see Ireland beating Samoa at rugby helped!). However, the hotel is reasonably priced for a city centre and is very handy to the train station.

My husband and I with our 9 year old girl stayed for several nights in August 2013. We had one room and found it to be very spacious and clean. There was not much night noise, even for central Dublin and the curtains were quite good in blocking out the early morning light. The staff were really nice, welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts were great and plenty of variety. we enjoyed our stay very much.

I spent 3 night thee in September and it was ok. The room had a good size, the bathroom was small but always clean. I didn't like the breakfast, very fat, no healthy options. The coffee was terrible. Near from the center, I didn't have to use public transportation to walk thru the city. They just have wifi in the lobby.

Room Tip: If you can choose the 1st floor you can use internet in the room.

Stayed here for 2 nights last week. Had two triple rooms. Great base for exploring. Hop on, hop off bus great value for money and takes you everywhere. Shuttle bus from airport stops right outside hotel. We paid 52 euros each for the two nights including breakfast. Breakfast was lovely and was fresh and had something for everyone. Rooms were spotless and were very comfortable, however be careful if you have the red satin runner on end of bed, I slipped on one of these that had fallen on floor and nearly broke my leg/back/neck!!! Staff very helpful and friendly. Bar served the best cocktails and very reasonable too. I can highly recommend the Harvey wallbanger!!! Overall a very enjoyable stay. For traditional Irish Fayre try the Boxty restaurant in Templebar. Would definitely return to this hotel.

Nice rooms, nice staff, excellent location and a great breakfast! We truly enjoyed our stay in Dublin and this was a great hotel for all the listed reasons. It was a five minute walk to get to the bus for the Hop on Hop off Tours, and our tickets for it were good for 2 days which provided a good way to get around. We were able to walk to the Temple bar area in less than 10 minutes one evening and felt totally safe walking back late at night. Our room was roomy, quiet and clean. We opted for the included breakfast which included fresh fruits, a variety of cereals, juice, coffee, eggs, scones, potatoes, bacon, sausage and more. Right around the corner from Connolly station which has transport to and from the airport. Of all the places we stayed in Europe, this was our favorite.

Room Tip: We asked in advance for a quiet room and they referenced that when we checked in. Our room was indee...

Ok it is not in the centre of temple bar or anything, however we found it ideal. The 747 bus from the airport drops off right outside the door and to go back, you only cross the road to the station. It was a 5 minute walk to oconnell to the main ships and to get the hop on hop off and on Saturday night we never left the street due to a fantastic restaurant (no1 in dublin) and a great bar next door. The hotel itself was not the most modern but it was clean, had a good breakfast and the staff were really good. The bar in the hotel is also cheaper on drinks than temple bar so became a place for a nightcap. Would we stay again, yes. The price of the room was a bargain - all of us stayed for 2 nights for 79 euros each including full cooked breakfast. There is a locked luggage storage room too so on the day of leaving, explore and come back, grab the bag, walk across the road and jump on the bus for 10 euro return.

Room Tip: 131 was a twin right at the end of the corridor so got no corridor noise of passing people
