Stayed here for one night (Saturday the 14th of April). On arrival found that we were staying across road from main hotel and our side was being refurbished. Must say though that we had great size room with 2 king size beds. Well furnished and spotlessly clean. En suite shower room was of a high standard. Felt secure but no staff on actual site. No lift so hard work if on a higher floor with suitcases (we were on first so not too bad). Did have some noise from above during night (creaky floor boards and plumbing). Also booked breakfast but was not told until arrival that this was not available due to refurbishment. To be fair plenty of local eateries but hadn't expected to pay out a further 22 euros for breakfast which we had been given in room price. Bit miffed as husband diabetic and needs to eat regularly and we didn't have time to buy breakfast until airport arrival. Walking distance to many local attractions and quick walk to aer coach stops. Not sure if I would stay again, I like to get what I book and the hotel contacted me to ask arrival time so they should have mentioned about breakfast and refurbishment so I could have booked elsewhere, Was not told at check in about no breakfast and how we were in an unstaffed annexe until I had paid in full. Cheeky?

Room Tip: Ask to be on the lower floor for ease of transporting luggage or top floor if you don't want noise above you.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking a bit of your time to write about your stay at Trinity Lodge.
In relation to your complaint regarding the breakfast I would just like to bring to your attention that the you have booked a Room Only rate therefore breakfast was not included . As you can understand, in order to maintain a good standard of accommodation, we have to undergo refurbishment from time to time and our aim is to complete it with a minimum disruption for our guests. We do apologize for any inconvenience caused by this but we also have tried to schedule it when most of our guests have not booked breakfast - as in your case.
Regarding the complaint that you have been allocated in an annexe building, with no staff, please note that Trinity Lodge is comprised of 3 Georgian townhouses but we only have 1 reception. However the security of each building is very good as you also agreed in your review. The guests can also contact very easy the reception by telephone from each room if they require any assistance.
I hope my answer clarifies your concerns and the misunderstanding about the breakfast being included in your room rate.
In the end I would like to thank you for staying at Trinity Lodge.
Kind Regards,
Carla Bosco
Manager Trinity Lodge

Stayed for one night just before Easter, good sized family rooms and very good value for money in a nice part of Dublin City. The old buildings are tastfully decorated/restored and next to Trinity Collage and its grounds + a short walk from Grafton Street. Staff were helpful and friendly and access was easy with very reasonably priced car parking just 50m away. Ideal for exploring the central part of the city without the "hustle and bustle".

Room Tip: Pay the extra and go for the family rooms as they are nice and large.

Lovely staff, and the room was gorgeous!! The bed was very hard,, but after having a few drinks, we didn't notice!! Fire alarm and the receptionist banging on our door at half nine wasn't the nicest way of being woken up, but safety first, as it was a false alarm!! Would stay here again, as it is a bargain!!

The hotel was very well located, we were in the overspill hotel opposite, which was modern, clean and comfortable...no bath and electric shower in our room, but all fine. Tea making facilities minimal (v little milk, for example), but all fine. Main complInt was the breakfast in George's Restaurant attached to hotel. Nice service but cold coffee, and all breakfast luke warm or cold and / or raw (tomatoes). We had to go elsewhere for a coffee. Wou,d stay here again, but definitely without breakfast!!!

The Trinity Lodge Hotel is a nice historic hotel right in the heart of Dublin. It's on a quiet street close to everything you would want to see as a tourist. Please remember this is a historic building with no elevators. However, my room was large and quiet. Breakfast was good albeit a little confusing on the price. Just tell them you want the full Irish breakfast and stay away from the little buffet table they have. The staff was friendly and efficient. You can store your luggage in the lobby. Convenient but definitely not very secure. The rate was very reasonable. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a lower floor room in the main building.
