“Nice room but a little noisy”
Reviewed April 1, 2014

We only spent one night here on our recent trip to Dublin but the room was nice enough. We had a very big bed, and the shower room was also a decent size. We had access to free Wi-fi which was really useful as we were trying to avoid using data roaming on our UK phones!

The only downside was the noise; the hotel is right on the main road that runs alongside the Liffey and is situated in Temple Bar, so we found that pub-goers were loud late into the night and delivery lorries started up early in the morning. The hotel itself was nice, it couldn't be more central, but if you are a light sleeper then Temple Bar is definitely not the area for you!

Rooms are rather small and utilitarian but adequate in all respects and nice and clean. There is a nice view of the river and you are right in Temple Bar. A little noisy on the weekends when all the bars are crowded. Overall a very good value.

The Eliza Lodge is well positioned to explore all Dublin city. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are comfortable. The staff are very friendly.
The Hotel is in the Temple Bar area so can be a little noisy at night, so if you coming to Dublin to sleep then this may not be the hotel for you, - But it is ideally positioned for the visitor who wants to enjoy Dublin nightlife, and tour the city shops during the day
I would most definitely stay here again - Highly recommend.

I never really leave reviews for anywhere, i am just Lazy. But i felt that i had to leave a review for Eliza Lodge, A friend and i booked a weekend away in Dublin only to arrive at the booked hotel and find that we had booked the wrong weekend.. the woman at the desk had rooms available but directed us to the Eliza Lodge (weird way to attract customers, but worked out better for us)... so off we went feeling a bit silly and annoyed that we had just lost all that money.

We explained our story to Mona at the front desk (of Eliza Lodge), who in my opinion gave us the best Customer service we have ever received anywhere in the world. We ended up staying two nights in the hotel.. and she even let us call our bank in NZ for free. The rooms were great and had an amazing view of the Liffey.. a perfect location to go out and have a great time.. and the breakfast was great.

I will be letting everyone i know who travels to Dublin to stay there.

Thank you Mona you were Fantastic and really made a great weekend Fantastic.

Room Tip: We stayed in two rooms and both were great, If you are after a quieter stay choose a top floor room...

We stayed five nights at Eliza lodge. It was a great experience! The room was small but functional. We had a great view of the river Liffey from our room which was quite enjoyable in the mornings and enchanting in the evenings. The location is excellent, in the heart of the Temple Bar area. You are in walking distance of everything in downtown Dublin. Since the lodge is on the quay it is further away from much of the noise of the Temple Bar area which is nice if you want to sleep while the nightlife is still in full swing. You can hear all of the cars going by in the evenings and even some of the more jovial people passing by the hotel. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to bring a pair of earplugs just in case. The restaurant (The Italian Corner) on the bottom floor serves great authentic Italian food. Again the value is good. It is the same place you eat breakfast. We booked online and they had a full Irish breakfast included in the price of the room for booking online. This was another plus. The staff is very pleasant. We would definitely stay again if we have the opportunity to come back to Ireland.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter since they are further from the nightclub (The Fitzsimons) next door.

I don't normally make a point of leaving reviews, but for Eliza Lodge I sincerely feel that they deserve nothing less. We stayed here for two nights. Our host was very accommodating, the location was spot on (just around the corner from being in the thick of it, and with a great view of the Liffey), and the breakfast was delicious! Well cleaned rooms too, which was very important to me in particular.
