“very rude host!!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2013

We arrived in this hotel at the centre of Temple bar. Lots of noise but it was late and we needed a room for that night. The woman at the reception was really unfriendly! We asked if we could see the room before pay because I ve read some bad review on this hotel but some other good. She respond no, it was impossible to see the room, she keep saying the room was clean enought, just Italian people complain about the rooms! So unpolite! At the end we walked away! The restaurant down stairs (same company) is Italian!! Unbelievable!!
Not a good accommodation if you run an hotel!!

My sister and I stayed here for two nights in Room 302 and three nights in Room 104. Both rooms had great views of the River Liffey. Room 102 was a little loud as it was so close to the street. The location is great, within walking distance of most attractions and the staff was really helpful. Showers were a little small but the water was hot and pressure was good. The floor was dusty and that's my only real complaint about the room.

Room Tip: Pick a room higher up if you are concerned with noise.

Last minute booking in Dublin took us to the Eliza Lodge right on the River Liffey and at Temple Bar section. The manager was so wonderful to us especially when we decided to stay a couple more nights and are we glad we did. We had to change rooms but the hotel took care of moving us each time and our last night there was on the 4th floor with a fabulous view and the weather cooperated with us nicely. The breakfast included in the little corner restaurant was just right too! We thought it was reasonable and clean. Cooincidently we were there during "Arthurs Day" so yes it is noisy with the windows open. It's the Temple Bar what do you expect? We really enjoyed our time there and were sorry they couldn't take us one more night. We would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Please remember it is a very busy area thus noisy.

We stayed here for three nights while in Dublin. The hotel was very clean, great location with friendly staff and good value. The hotel is within walking distance to most sights. The staff were helpful. The breakfast is a great value with loads of food to choose from in the morning. The only downside is the noise from the street which can be loud if you are facing the river but it was a great view!

When we turned in our rental car before we left Ireland, we met three women who were raving about the great room with a view they had the night before in Dublin. We made our way to the Eliza lodge and ended up getting the same room! # 300...third floor with a curved corner window and a great view of the city and the river!

Room Tip: Ask for room 300!!

When we arrived we were told to got to reception a very small closet time reception with tiny lift.
The Manager woman seemed sorry that we had to wait .
When we went to our room was ok had twin beds Hair dryers Iron board .Kettke and cups teabags. The kettles element was bit passed it sell by date rusty and old,
The view was great front facing onto the river,
The problem is the toilet was old like a old toilet suite.
Damp marks on wall and shower broke off on use and was very warm.It was dirty looking almost yellow in color the housekeeping dont use bleach ,
All it took was for them to clean it up new toilet and shower or clean it up it would be fine but it was mouldy.

Breakfast a shambles no choice off cereal .Irish breakfast was ok but egg was like McDonalds scrambled egg crap,I also asked 4 times for tea without it arriving.Wouldnt stay here again.Very noisy also

Stayed two nights, perfect location, good value, friendly staff. The Liffey can whiff a bit at low tide, but overall top place. Breakfast was great, night man was very helpful in arranging taxis and a coffee to go for our trip to the airport!
