The hotel is well placed being on the Quays, so out in the open and easy to find. I did read reviews before I booked so was aware that there would be noise from the bar below but it was a lot noisier than I expected.
The hotel was clean and the staff friendly and efficient.
The room was comfortable and had a floor-standing fan which was appreciated as it was quite warm the night I stayed.
There was a kettle and tea/coffee in the room but it was impossible to get the kettle under the tap to fill it - luckily I had taken a bottle of water with me so was able to use that.
Despite the noise I would stay again at this hotel as a solo traveller as it was on the Quay and well lit around.

Room Tip: If you are bothered about noise it may be worth checking out if there are any rooms where you can...

Internet was not working there. The room was smelly like some old bar full of cigarettes and there was mold in the bathroom. It's not hotel it's more like some B&B. I asked help from reception because I had problem with window cause the room was hot like sauna and they promise to help but nobody didn't come to help us. Reception was closed at night time I thought it's open 24h.

Have stayed here twice and would return, its not perfect but its in a great location and the price is good. Only real complaint is the stairs, I did ask for another high up room on my 2nd stay as it is on a busy road so less noisy higher up, think I had forgotten just how steep and tiring it was getting to your room especially after a busy day out.
The bar downstairs is great, decor is very strange but in a good way, friendly staff and a good atmosphere, never been anywhere else like it.
Breakfasts nothing special but its ok, only ever had the cooked breakfast as the continental is just cereal and toast.
Rooms could do with updating but are comfy and fairly clean, bathrooms small but not a problem.
Overall I would say its good for the price, not a luxury stay but great as a base to explore the city

Stayed for one night at the Clifton Court, had to drag suitcases up five flights of stairs as there is no lift, the rooms are very small and stuffy, old sash windows that we had to keep propped open with the bin as it was during the hot weather bout in Dublin, I was not expecting the Hilton at the price we got the room for but it badly needs to be refurbished, best thing about it was the entertainment in the bar down stairs.

Located on the banks of the Liffey on Eden Quay, the hotel is superbly located for shopping and sightseeing. The hotel itself, though, is dated, cramped and not well presented. Rooms are located over four floors (reception is on first floor - so when they refer to fourth floor, it is really the fifth floor) No lift. Narrow corridors, landings and stairs, very small rooms and even smaller bathrooms. Our room smelt like a tobacco factory and the windows were jammed shut. Breakfast was adequate, but the mid-Europeans who operate the catering are not familiar with 'full Irish breakfast' and if you opt for cooked breakfast you cannot start with cereals (that's the continental breakfast at extra cost!).

Room Tip: Ask for a low floor when booking.

great location right across from temple bar. very good price. was on 3rd floor so it was a bit of a haul and the rooms are close to what you would get in a hostel but for the price we paid it was worth it. it was clean and the pub downstairs was excellant. although tnot Irish the innkeepers were very friendly and helpful. kept our bags on the last day until it was time to head to airport. great bargin

Room Tip: building a bridge over the Liffy and the windows were open becuase of the heat so it was a bit loud
