Thankfully we only stayed one night at this hotel.
The room cost a whopping £117 so we expected something rather nice - unfortunately not the case.
The room was in a very bad state, the walls had holes in and the paper was peeling off, the windows and sills were dirty and had paint peeling off them. The plug sockets were loose, practically hanging off the walls which seemed quite dangerous.
The bathroom was filthy with grime and mildew, the hot and cold taps were the wrong way round and it was furnished with cheap, thin towels.
Breakfast was equally disapointing, cheap, nasty sausages, dried up bacon and rubbery scrambled eggs.
As we had taken the last room in the hotel they could not move us and we were unable to get a room in any other hotel or hostel in the city (i think it was a rugby weekend)
We were racing to catch a bus in the morning and so did not quibble about payment, instead i wrote an email of complaint to the hotel on our return home, attaching photos of the problems. I didn't even recieve an acknowledgement of this never mind a response!
if we had paid £30-£40 for the room it would not be so bad but £117!!! I wouldn't go back again for free.More
