Avoid staying there on week-ends. The building also hosts a disco, which can be terribly noisy depending on the location of your room. Furthermore prices increase for the week-end! Overall, it’s good value for money for the week but definitely not at week-ends.

Stayed here for two nights midweek. NEVER again. Although it is cheap you pay for what you get. Basic is not the word. Here is my list that scores this hotel a 0: Stained mattress and duvet cover, dirty bath and shower, grout on tiles was black, stains on roof from an obvious leak, exposed bulbs in bathroom, peach towels that smelled of chlorine, handle aid in bath hanging off the wall, shower head completely rusted and the door of the room would not lock. To top it all off if you want a good nights sleep be prepared to doze off around 230am when the music from the nightclub next door stops!! I did complain but there was no chance of getting moved. Far from Delux!!

stayed here again for the holloween wkd cause everywhere else was very expensive. have to say second time round was much better. Had booked a triple room and ended up in a huge room on the third floor (peter O'toole room I think) It actually had 6 beds in it I think and a little couch and table (although the couch had seen better days as had a couple of the beds for that matter.) The bathroom was much better than our previous stay as was the decor and it was great to have a bit of space to get ready and have a few drinks before we headed out.

Its really the location that sells this place as its right in the middle of camden street beside plenty of restaurants, pubs and clubs.

I think we paid something like €70 for the room in total so it was really good value. Its as basic as they come but for a place to lie down for a couple of hours we couldnt fault it.. didnt have any trouble with noise even though we were at the front of the hotel and would probably stay here again.. purely for the location and value.. provided we got this room!

Room Tip: peter o'toole room ( think it was 313 or 316 cant just remember)

Reviewing this hotel is difficult as it is completely different from day to day.
I've stayed in this hotel three times and the day of the week holds incredibly sway.

Do not stay in this hotel on Thursday, Friday or Saturday unless you are partying until the wee hours...because you don't have a choice. There is a nightclub beside this hotel and there is just no escaping the noise. I was staying in the room on the top floor and the very back and still couldn't sleep until the nightclub closed in the early morning.

However, that aside this hotel is decent on many other levels. The staff are very helpful and friendly. No worries there. There have been definite efforts to spruce up the hotel and it really shows. However, this is a process for them and the job is not completed. It has the feeling of staying in your aunt's spare room...the walls and hangings are stylish and the bathroom is good too but the mismatched furniture, tiny tv and strange bed-linen are not the greatest features to be paying for. These hopefully will be changed over time. Again, this isn't really a bad thing or anything to be too concerned about as the location is fantastic and if visiting, you won't be spending too much time in the room.
The hotel and room were clean and the rates are not too steep for the location.
Too bad there is no soundproofing.

Room Tip: Only stay between Sunday and Wednesday

I was booked in to the Camden deluxe hotel for 3 nights, sunday through to wednesday morning. The hotel is built above a night club, there is no sound proofing in the club or the hotel. I booked in on sunday around midnight (last flight from Liverpool), Dublin had just won the all ireland final and it was party time in Dublin. This meant that the night club was rocking, i went to my room 353, which overlooks the night club and it wouldnt have been any noisier if i had been in the night club. I went to reception and asked if another room was available and was informed it was fully booked. The receptionist informed me that the night club would be open till about 3 am, was closed on monday, but open again on tuesday till 3 am. After 20 minutes in the room, i decided to book out and go to another hotel up the road at twice the price.

The room looked fairly well appointed, but cheaply furnished. I would suggest only staying here if you are planning a night out in Dublin and just want somewhere to crash out after 3 am, as you will get no sleep before then when the night club is open

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the higher floors and at the front of the building, it may not be as noisy

ive been to a fair few places in my time, but this place was terrible, the only thing that was clean was the bed clothes, the bed side lamps had no bulbs in them, the picture on the wall was broken and the door wouldnt lock properly from the inside, went with a friend shopping to city centre so we went in the night before and stayed here to be close to shops for the morning, talk about a shock did we get, reception looks lovely and the staff were nice in fairness, but the rooms totally let the place down, i did like the way they had celebrity names for all the bedrooms though, i thought it was a good idea...but that was about all that i liked....

Room Tip: honestly, i dont think there is a good room here....
