“Very Convenient”
Reviewed May 30, 2011

Stayed one night (Business) great reception area, restaurant, and bar. Reception staff not the friendliest in world - thought they could have 'smiled' and been a bit more polite but check in swift and efficient.
room very nice, cold as had to ask for radiators to be turned on. Bathroom very nice and nice towel heater here had b'rom very warm - just what i like.?
Restaurant i thought very pricey.... not too many restaurants around the area which I suppose means you are stuck, but couple nice pub/restaurants just up the street??
very quiet hotel, clean and comfortable. Will definitely go back and would recommend, the Luas is so handy for Bus/Train Stn and for city centre for shopping. Enjoyed our stay immensley. Their left luggage room very well organised and a great help. Restaurant staff very friendly, helpful and courteous. Well done to them.
A R. Ireland.

Lovely hotel that deserves all it's 4 stars. We stayed in a King deluxe room which was very spacious with double sinks in the bathroom. We had a lovely view from our window. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. We had lunch in the bar which was also very nice with lots
of choice & big comfy sofa to relax on. Location is great as very near lots of public transport. Dublin zoo & the Gusiness Factory is within walking distance. Only thing to grumble about, if being picky, is the shuttle bus outside could be a bit noisy at night. We stayed 2 nights but our room was not cleaned. None of this would put be off staying again as it is a lovely relaxing hotel!

Ashling Hotel is a 3 minute stroll to Heuston train Station. (trains, buses & light rail stop) This provides you the easiest access to Dublin city centre, or anywhere in all of Ireland.
We stayed in both a standard room and in two of their suites. (Beautiful!) Room rates were reasonable compared to comparable hotels in Dublin. Staff was friendly and helpful. If you are planning a trip to Ireland the Ashling provides the perfect "homebase" in Dublin. Highly recommended.

Stayed in the Ashling hotel for 1 night. It is a great hotel, we had booked a superior king room and on checking in we were given an upgrade to a deluxe king. The room was on the fifth floor. The room was really big and the bathroom was nearly the same size with twin sinks, bath and a shower. We had dinner included in the deal in the restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised as the food was delicious and the choice was really good. The room we had was really quiet and to the back of the hotel as we requested. It had tea/coffee making facilities, TV (loads of channels) and was really moderate in the decor. The staff on reception and in the restaurant were really nice and helpful.Definately one of the better hotels we have stayed in so far in Dublin. Will definately be back.

Room Tip: Book a superior room (rates are still very good)

In hotel full of nice people, how is it that the receptionist at the front desk cannot even be civil to visitors. Not even a smile... ...and I spend more than a week here every year....

The Ashling is very handy for the city, being directly on a tram line. We stayed in an upgraded suite, which was spacious and peaceful. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. We dined on a table d'hote menu which had superb options. The food was excellent, and was matched by the waiting staff who were very professional, extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. I cannot recommend it enough. Well done to all.
The only negative for me was the car park charges.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the weekend and really enjoyed our stay. Rooms were really clean and sufficient. Breakfast was lovely. We had bar food one of the evenings which was also good. It was a little noisy at night but not too bad. Good location & Good value for money. Would stay here again!
