Spent 2 nights in Cassidy's and really enjoyed it. I pre booked a space (12 euros per day) in the hotel's car park which is secured with electronic gates. The location at the top of O'Connell street is perfect for train travellers as it is only 10-15 mins walk. The room (key card entry) was great and very comfortable with TV, free WiFi and tea & coffee making facilities. Bathroom was very clean and hand & shower washes were supplied. Breakfast was included in the price and had everything for both the healthy and fry brigades. Bit noisy with the window open at night but you are in Dublin city centre at the end of the very busy O'Connell Street. Would definitely recommend Cassidy's for a stay and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

Room Tip: Smokers rooms are above 3rd floor

We stayed here for two nights last week. The hotel is in a good location for touring Dublin. RIght on O'Connel street and very close to both public transit and sightseeing buses. The rooms were clean and functional. We were in the back of hotel and heard a bit of noise at night from the smokers outside the back of the pub and other alley noises. The car park is not for the timid - it's about a 12 point turn to safely land your car into a spot. Skip the the breakfast buffet once, pretty icky, scrambled eggs that turned green, no brown bread- we should have done the eggs to order.

Room Tip: avoid the back of the hotel - although I wonder if you are up front if you might get more bar noise

I stayed here for 3 nights with friends early August. Staff were really helpful, rooms comfortable and clean and the breakfast was amazing. Our first night was in the executive wing which was a bit of walk to get there in lifts and tunnels, but room was great. Our next two nights were in the main building and just as good. The location was excellent and overall it was an amazing place to stay.

We found this hotel to be very good. The location was brilliant at the top of o'connell street. The room was very good and very comfortable except for the heat. We had the window open most of the time we were in the room but at nightime when it was time for sleeping we had to close the window due to noise outside. There were lots of people around so you have to expect some noise. I can say that i would tell anyone to try Cassidys hotel when in Dublin.

Room Tip: upper rooms are best. we had rooms on the 2nd floor I think the fourth floor was for smoking.

My single room was in the executive wing which means I had air conditioning - a real bonus because although it was not hot, some days were very humid. The rooms in the executive wing are new and renovated. The furniture is new and overall they are just great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located on a major road so it is very convenient and it does not take long to walk to any of the major sites. The executive wing is in a separate area of the hotel, and you do need to walk down some corridors to access it; however, it was not a "tunnel" - it was a couple of corridors with guest rooms and conference rooms. The access is not directly off the lobby, that's all - it was well worth it.

Being located on O'Connell street this hotel was perfectly located for sight seeing in Dublin. The Hop On/Off buses, taxis and city buses are seconds away.
The staff are very helpful and the food is good in the bar. Breakfast was delicious especially when they make your eggs to order.
Great spot and we'd stay here again

Although there were some aspects of this hotel we really really liked, there were some we really did not. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location, for being on the north side, is good. Just a short walk to the river. The rooms were clean and in good condition. The hotel was extremely hot, heat hot. there was no way to regulate the temp, and although there were small windows that could be opened, it was only by and inch or 2. the shower was clean, but what i would consider an hazard, nearly a 3' ledge to walk over to exit. If your room is on the back side, know that there is a small pub that can be quite noisy, especially since you have your window open to try to cool the room down.
