“'First class lunch every time'”

Anytime I decide to have a nice carvery for my lunch during my working week, I am always drawn to the Harcourt hotel. Today they had roast leg of lamb on the menu, my favourite food and I was certainly not disappointed and I have to say in all the times that I have had lunch here it has always been excellent. Great value for money (lunch time) and the staff always greet you with a smile. Well done and keep the good work up.

I booked 2 rooms in this hotel for one night as my teenage daughter and her friend were going to a concert in the Olympia Theatre. We were given rooms in the annexe, which didn't impress me to start with, having to leave the hotel and go next door. Our rooms were near the lift on two different floors, my husband and I on the ground floor facing onto a beer garden and my daughter and her friend on a lower level still. We could hear every movement of the person in the room above opening and closing the bedroom furniture. I have stayed in many hotels in many countries, but this has to be the worst. Buffet Breakfast (6.95) wasn't great. On entering bar to get breakfast, we were not greeted by anyone to advise of system re: serving. The hot breakfast section was unattended then eventually the most grumpy middle aged man employee I have ever seen served breakfast as if he was doing us all a favour. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms 1101 and 1108

I stayed at the Harcourt hotel for 4 days, the nightclub of the hotel is located right next to the hotel so at night it's very noisy and loud so not really easy to fall asleep. In the morning the shower was cold so you better take a shower at night.
The breakfast was ok. Pretty poor and below average

25 of us on stag 7/3/14 for the weekend & honestly have no complaints regarding the harcourt. Every member of staff was pleasant & helpful ( special mention to the brothers who worked day shift sat & sun who were great Craic behind the bar & very efficient @ that cheers lads ) great bar & nightclub in this place & to be honest one of the best beer gardens I've seen anywhere. Very popular location & great for sports with a few really large screens & loads of 50" dotted about the place. The breakfast was lovely as was the food throughout our wknd. Our rooms were fine no issues whatsoever & had all that you require. All in all would I stay here again ? Would have no hesitation at all.

Asked for a ham sandwich and a bowl of soup. Couldn't believe the bill. On checking the ham sandwich, no extras, was €6.95. It wasn't even good. Find somewhere else to eat if you are in the area. Little wonder that people scratch their heads at the lack of value in the Irish hotel industry.

Soup & sandwich is €6.95 Euro in the evening , fairly reasonable I would say in any establishment let alone a hotel. During lunch time we have special : any sandwich or wrap made to order or bread of your choice and soup € 4.95 . There is a full carvery lunch available from 7.95 Euro for that matter from Monday to Friday. not bad by any standards!!

Just okay. The bed wasn't comfortable, and the best thing about the room was the tea service! this place is locked down after hours to keep all the drunk teenagers from strolling in. I tried a 3 star on hotwire and got a 1 star. I've learned my lesson for Dublin, and book direct now with a known international brand that is known for cleanliness and service. Still can't find a hotel in Dublin with Irish people that actually work there.

Got the room midweek for €44.50 for 2, so very affordable. Staff were friendly, room was basic, good size and clean. Hotel bar is nice and has a lovely beer garden. It is close to nightlife- Copper Face Jacks, Dicey Riley's and Krystle. Had a pleasant stay and would stay again
