The hotel is well situated, walking distance to grafton st, o Connell st, Guinness storehouse, trinity college. At night the area is very noisy so made sleeping difficult at times.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Room was clean and well equipped ( no shampoo though). Bed was massive and really comfy.
Breakfast was lovely.
We booked in to the Celtic night show, at e33.95. Had a lovely 3 course meal but felt a little cheated that we could have watched the show anyway without having the meal. When we booked we had asked for a table with the Guinness pumps on but when we were seated we were told that the pumps are only switched on in the summer. However it was a good night.
Would recommend and hope to return.

There is a few good things about this hotel which I shall mention first. The location is perfect, just a 2 minute walk down to the pedestrian area of temple bar, bus stops for tours and air link are literally on the doorstep and 10mins walking to either shopping areas.
As you go into the hotel friendly staff are there to greet you. Always said hello with a smile and it's a good example of how people who work in the hotel industry should be.
We did not have breakfast included with our room nut had the early flight I'm and couldn't check in till 2 so decided to just pay for a breakfast. Service again excellent and you got what you paid for. Good selection of cooked or continental.
The room we had was on the 3rd floor. The room was clean and functional all be in a little small.
Ok the negative. Now there isn't much and it's really to do with the room. as mentioned above the room was clean and functional but it was dated. There was a cigarette burn on one of thr seats, damage to the furniture and an iron burn on the floor. Bathroom was small, fixed shower so it was difficult for myself to get a shower as I'm quite tall. Cracked floor tiles as well again dated. The window opened and scarily opened fully with no guard to stop you falling out, very dangerous. Needs addressed as it's the 3rd floor. my main gripe is the fact the we took the option of a kingsize bed, looked good when we arrived then discovered it was just 2 single beds bolted together and covered with 1 large sheet. Very very uncomfortable and also there was only 1 bedsides cabinet and the bed was almost jammed against 1 wall. Since it was 2 single beds there used to be a gap in the middle and now not so we had to sleep with electrical sockets at out heads. also I'm sure the walls were paper thin as everything could be heard through walls!! Even someone walking down the hall was enough to wake you.
Dispite the room being the way it was the rest of it was good. We did get a half price deal on the room and to be honest I wouldnt recommend someone paying full price if that's what the rooms are like.

Myself and three friends stayed here Monday 17th-Wednesday 19th Feb!! Everything about the hotel was great.
Staff: so friendly!! Could not do enough for you. Lovely lovely people!!!
Rooms: very clean, rooms cleaned daily. Beds very very comfy!
Location: close to everything. 5 minute walk to Fleet Street and a 10 minute walk into the centre (o'connel street) there is a bus stop out side which does the Dublin tour which is €18 for two days....fantastic!! Bus stop outside for the transfer to airport also!
Food: breakfast....fab! Evening meals, very big, good and filling. Lovely!
Over all we have a fantastic few days! Would Defo Defo stay again!!!!

Stayed here for 2 nights, wasn't expecting much due to what I paid and especially the reviews on here however I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel!! The room was immaculate! Couldn't fault the cleanliness at all, the bed was very comfy. We was on the first floor at the front of the hotel and noise was not a problem at all! Would definitely stay here again, the show in the bar is a must!! Really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here for 3 nights and could not fault it for value. The hotel is a little dated but that adds to it's character and the staff were so very friendly. The full Irish breakfast was superb and plentiful. Easy walking access to historical sites, shops and Temple Bar bars etc. Irish folk music and Irish dancers are a feature in the vast bar area in the evenings although not when we were there except for one special night on Wednesday for a large organised party. We were fortunate to be in residence otherwise it was only on at the sister hotel even though advertised to be on daily!
The location is excellent with tour busses (Red & Green Hop-on-Hop-off) and the airport 747 services virtually right outside. Buy your tour bus which lasts two days and airport a return ticket for €20 and save a few €'s on the airport ticket! The airport bus takes between 20 and 30 minutes and is an excellent service and the tour busses are worth it just for the entertainment value of the very comical drivers

We stayed here for 3 nights and can't really fault it for value. The hotel is slightly dated but the staff were friendly, rooms were cleaned daily and location is good. Easy walking access to historical sites and shops alike. We had lunch in the bar the day we arrived and it was good and not too pricey. The lunch menu was more extensive than the evening menu but I suppose that was so as to not overload the kitchen who cook a 3 course meal for the Celtic nights the hotel runs 7 nights a week. Only downside is that as mentioned by others, the walls are thin and you may hear more than you'll want to!
