I don't know what all of these reviews are on about saying they had a bad stay!! We arrived on the Saturday very early due to our 7am flight. The very helpful staff on the front desk managed to get us a room at 12pm instead of book in time at 2pm (with no added cost). We went to the show in the night and loved it!! Again the waiters/waitresses being very helpful and friendly and the food was beautiful!! If we needed anything there was always a friendly face there to help us with anything. I have seen people having said the rooms were dated!? Yes, they were slightly dated but, extremely clean! We even came back to the room after it had been cleaned to meet one of the cleaning staff polishing the outside of every door!! If there is any bad point it is that you can hear everything in the floor above and below but that wasn't a major problem!! We already plan on coming back due to the location and fantastic stay! Thank you :)

We were in Dublin to attend a concert at the Olympia Theatre - this hotel was a good location just 5 minutes walk away. Hotel overall was good. We were given a double room on the 1st floor to the back of the hotel. It was warm, comfortable and clean with very basic tea and coffee making facilities - only 3 tea bags and 3 coffees for 2 people (?), and no Decaff. Unfortunately the view from the windows was either looking down in the alleyway at the dustbins or across into someones private appartment who had a perfect view into our room. So we kept the curtains closed. The inclusive breakfast was great and the fresh cooked breakfast to order was delicious. All the staff were very professional, kind and helpful. In all we had a good time at the Arlington.

Room Tip: Not at the back overlooking the alley.

Dear Suzanne05-12

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of our hotel as we value all feedback recieved from our guests.

I am please to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall and that you found the location for the Olympia so good.We are indeed lucky to have Dublin Castle The Olympia & Vicar street on our doorstep.

It is standard practice for us to supply 3 tea and 3 coffee in a room for double occupancy and more is always available on request free of charge at any time day or night.

Unfortunatly we are a city center property and there is very little i can do about the view at the back of the hotel however you can contact me directly at manager@arlingtonhoteltemplebar.com for your next reservation and i will ensure you get one of our front facing rooms if you so wish.

I look forward to meeting you upon your return to The Arlington Temple Bar.

Hotel was perfectly placed for access to the Temple Bar life and only 40 mins or so walk to the Aviva. The staff were friendly, welcoming and all things Irish so the stay was grand. The downstairs, food, beverages, entertainment were generally superb (need to change the resident trio though, a bit stale compared to what the other pubs in Temple Bar area). The hotel felt great, loved it, had a room at the front of the hotel and the road noise was significant (be prepared if you are not used to it, we weren't), however, would go back and stay there because in a couple of year's time when the rugby is there again. An overall 3 rating because of the road noise and the bedroom needs a little face lift but it's Ireland and Ireland is different to anywhere else.

Room Tip: If you can,and if you need a quieter night sleep, chose a room at the back....although the street vi...

Lovely, warm room with en suite. Breakfast food so superb - plenty of food to choose from, both from the buffet and these cooked (full Irish breakfast). We also had Christmas dinner - at a very last minute decision - so superb and delicious food! Strongly recommended at a such reasonable price.

I stayed here for 3 nights and found the hotel good for what we wanted from it, somewhere clean to sleep at night. The rooms are basic and an ok size, I booked a double room but was given a small double and a single bed (not sure if that is the norm) which was fine for us but the beds are pretty uncomfortable. The room has a tv, closet space, dressing table, ironing board, hairdryer, table and chairs, so it is well equipped. The bathroom was nice and clean but tiny, and the shower was so uncomfortable as it was narrow and felt like the shower head had been placed in the wrong position (high up and on the wrong wall) causing me to do an Irish jig around it to get under the water (you'll see what I mean). The hotel is on a main road, but we didn't experience much noise at all and it is in such a central location which is so handy as we rarely had to use public transport. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and on the day we checked out we were able to leave our cases with them until our flight time. Also the hotel has free open wifi which was very handy for us so we were grateful for that. I would recommend this hotel if you want to be a stones throw away from everything.
