Great weekend stay. Check in was a little unorganized which made first impressions not great.
Good comfortable rooms and good bar and restaurant food made up for the bad start. Great location for shopping and nightlife. Definitely return to this hotel.

Dear Tripadvisor Member

Thank you for your recent review of Trinity Capital Hotel. I was glad that you enjoyed the bar and restaurant food. It is unfortunate that you found our reception to be a little un-organised, as this is an area where we regulary recieve positive feedback. Our front Office Manager Jan is looking at procedures to ensure our reception is efficient and I am confident you will experience this on your next visit.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Trinity Capital Hotel Soon.

Spent a couple nights at the Trinity Capital and cannot fault the place. From the friendly reception on arrival to wishing us well on our departure all staff ensured our stay was a pleasurable one. Customer Service at its best! We had emailed the hotel before arriving to clarify something and mentioned that the stay was the start of our 50th year birthday celebrations... When we got into our room (which was lovely) there was a handwritten card & a tin of sweets welcoming us - nice touch. The food was superb and the drinks were comparable in price to other establishments in Dublin. The hotel is a great base for exploring the city - hop on/off bus & Air-coach stops are a couple of minutes walk away. Temple Bar and the retail sectors are equally close. This was our first trip to Dublin and when we return we will definitely stay at the Trinity Capital!

We only stayed one night, but the Hotel and staff were wonderful. I was amazed at the rooms, they offer really good deals. Close to excellent eating and drinking spots, not to exclude the hotel.
The Airlink Bus 747 stops just round the corner, €6.00 per person, great way to get to and from the hotel.
Very safe area, cop shop just on the corner.
You won't be disappointed!
If we ever make it back to Dublin, this is where we are staying!!
Thank You Staff at the Trinity Capital Hotel.

Hotel is lovely, staff are very helpful and friendly. We had breakfast one morning at the hotel which was ?12 each, well worth it, large selection of good quality foods. Hotel is in the trinity area of dublin, 5-10minute walk to temple bar and main shopping areas, including grafton street and st stephens green. We got the airlink bus straight to the city centre, got off at the temple bar stop and it only took 5 minutes to
Walk to the hotel from here bus cost ?6 per
Adult and it is just outside the terminal next to the taxi rank, took about 30 minutes to get from the airport. I would definately stay here again if visiting Dublin and would recommend this hotel.

After the ladies of our party stayed here for a hen do, we decided to go back for 3 nights as couples. The hotel is situated just a 5 minute walk from the city centre, so not a bad location, despite it being near a busy corner, on a busy road.

The reception was dark, but inviting, and the reception staff helpful, and happy.

We were able to leave our bags, as we arrived before check in time. When we did check in, we had the rooms near a fire escape staircase, so it seemed we lost a bit of space in the room because of this, but I guess someone has to have those room.

The bathroom was a good enough size, with a nice big shower cubicle, and a relatively powerful water feed. The only downside to the room were the two things that lost it that 1 star.

The wardrobe was a tiny 2 foot square hanging space in the headboard of the bed, very difficult to see in and hang things up.

Very hard to see into, caused by the second reason the hotel lost a mark. The lighting while warm and inviting, was not good. Even with all the lights on, it was very dark, and impossible to see in the wardrobe comfortably.

All in all, for less than £300 for 3 nights, a short walk from the city centre, can't complain, and we would probably choose to stay there again.

This hotel is very different and thats what makes it excellent. No browns, greens and same old colours but very bright and vibrant making it exciting.
The hotel is in a perfect position near all main areas, 5 mins to Temple Bar, Trinity College across the road, main shops (Grafton street) 5 mins, O connell Street 5 mins.

Hop on Hop off bus stop 5 mins, Airport bus link 5 mins - perfect.

We arrived early and got to the hotel by 10.30, we had booked a Excutive King Room but were upgraded to the Suite and it was ready, so we were in our room by 10.45. Wow was the first impression when I saw it, bright, bold and big, loads of space couldnt have asked for anything better.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, excellent customer service, all areas were clean and for breakfast there was an excellent choice:
Cerals, juices, meats, bacon, sausage, eggs (scrambled & fried), beans, toast etc - lots of choice.

If we return to Dublin I will be staying here and will be recommending all my friends and relatives.
Thank you Trinity Capital Hotel, you made our Wedding Aniversary trip very speacial.

Stayed here for 6 days on our first trip to Dublin. We really enjoyed our stay here!

We first arrived a few hours before check-in. We were really jet lagged and it probably showed on our faces b/c the girl at the front desk offered to take our luggage and try to find us a room. It took about an hour, but was still 2 hours before check in which was nice. The room was nice, tidy and looked just like the picture on the website. The bed was large, the bathroom was nice and modern. We slept in daily, so left our room about noon and when we returned our room had always been cleaned. We stayed in the Courtyard rooms, which are the budget rooms but it was more than enough and exceeded my expectations. Apparently there are no air conditioners in the courtyard rooms, but since it is February we didn't need it.

The hotel itself is very unique. As many have commented before it looks like something out of Alice and Wonderland. Very large furniture in the lobby, lots of mirrors and unique accent pieces, very fun.

There's free WiFi which is awesome. There's also a small exercise room with a treadmill, an elliptical, a stair stepper, a yoga mat and a balance ball. There's water and fresh towels provided in the exercise room with is a plus.

The location was GREAT! Walking distance from all major attractions and pubs in Dublin, but tucked away so not right in the middle of it all. Just what I like.

There were 2 cons and that was the thin walls and the food. We could hear everything going on in the hallway and could hear voices from the rooms adjacent to us. This was a bit disturbing on those nights when we just wanted to crash early. We decided to have our last meal in the hotel bar and boy were we disappointed. The prices for the bar food weren't bad, but the taste was. I had the pasta arrabiata and it was very bland. My fiancé had the burger and there was a huge hunk of not so tasty mayonnaise on it. The pasta was so far from what was advertised (no sundried tomatoes, no garlic) that I mentioned it to the waiter. When I did he said he would tell the chef. He returned a while later to say that the chef himself tasted the sauce and agreed that it was bland. He apologized and took the charge off the bill. That was very nice of them.

All in all a great stay that I would highly recommend.

Room Tip: No A/C in Courtyard rooms in the summer.

Dear Tripadvisor Member,

Thank you for your recent review of the Trinity Capital Hotel.

We have air-conditioning in our executive rooms and suites, but unfortunately not in our standard rooms. I'm sorry to hear that you were dissappointed with the taste of the food in the restaurant, however I'm happy to see that the staff took your remarks seriously and tried to rectify the issue.

We hope to be able to welcome you back to Dublin and the Trinity Capital Hotel soon.
