The location of this hotel couldn't have been better for our trip. Easy access to Temple Bar, Grafton Street and Henry Street, and walking distance to Jameson distillery. Plenty of good restaurant, pub and coffee options very close by.

We arrived before check-in but were able to store our luggage and freshen up in the lobby restroom after our flight. The staff was very friendly and helpful - they answered all our questions with patience and a smile, even though I'm sure they hear the same questions a milion times a day.

Our room was clean and certainly adequate, but nothing special. The bathroom was clean and nice, although the shower water temperature did not stay consistent. The wifi worked well - no problems there.

Breakfast was great - plenty of hot options including a full Irish breakfast, plus cereal, granola, fruit, cheese, etc.

If ever there was a place to go to enjoy a short trip away, this is it. From the customer service on line, to the restaurants, reception, bar, shows and the fabulous staff. THIS is the place to stay. The hotel is central to all amenities that Dublin has to offer, it is a little bit dated but on the whole, look past that and you can see what a jewel this place actually is. We enjoyed a 4 day break, had some fabulous meals, saw some great shows and just enjoyed the 'Irish craic'. Will be going back very soon.

Room Tip: Had a room on the fourth floor and it was sooooo peaceful.

Firstly the location of this hotel, and hence value for money, was great, really close to all the bars but far enough to not get too much noise.
Staff friendly and the bar downstairs was lots of fun with live music and a disco.
Rooms are large and comfortable however in need of updating in places with an old style tv and bathroom needing decoration with tiles hanging off and cracks in wall. Bed was massive and comfy and little noise on 3rd floor meant we had a good nights sleep! Would come here again for the location if price is right.

Be aware this is your typical older budget mid-ranged priced hotel in the city, not advertising the standards of your branded hilton.

I found this hotel to be clean and friendly. The rooms, while older and a bit dated and worn where expected for the price and location, were comfortable for my 2 day stay. The bed and pillows a little stiff for my standards, but most hotels are the same.

I got a room on the 4th floor and to the west side and you could barely hear the bar noise down below and it did not bother me.

I ate lunch at the pub below one day and the food was excellent. I also came for the Celtic show the second night I was there....skipping the dinner and showing up right at the 8:30 start I got a bar seat center stage. The show itself was a bit campy but fun and entertaining and lasted about an hour and a half.

The location was very central off lower O'Connell. Easy bus ride from Airport via Airlink and a short 3-4 block walk from the stop. Tour buses stop right in front of hotel to boot! Easy way to get around for 2 days. Also easy walking distance from trinity College, Grafton Street and the parks as well as Temple Bar and Dublin Castle.

If I visited Dublin again I would definitely stay here again.

The Arlington hotel is just the other side of the leffy river from temple bar. Near the main shopping streets. The staff where lovely especially the lady in the breakfast room.
Live music and irish dancing every night.
