Great location, hotel and value for money. Only issue was there is no AC. We were there during a heatwave so it got rather hot in the hotel corridors and room. If you are use to air conditioning then I wouldn't recommend staying here during summer, being from the UK we were use to no AC but some American guests we spoke to found it more uncomfortable.

A friend and I stayed for three nights in June 2013. The location was excellent, the beds were comfortable, the hotel had character, the staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, the WIFI worked well, the price was resonable and the bar pulls as excellent Guiness...what more could someone want? The only downside was the noise from the bar below.

My mother-in-law, husband, and I stayed here on our first night in Dublin. The gentleman at the front desk was so kind and gracious (just like every Irish person I've ever met) and took our bags in the morning although we weren't due to check in until afternoon; he also gave us some great advice.

The breakfast buffet was the largest I've ever seen, and everything was delicious, including the black and white puddings, which was my first time experiencing them. Well, everything but the coffee, but I learned not to expect much in that department.

I loved the lobby with its suit of armor and dark polished wood.

The location was great for us; everything we wanted to do was within walking distance.

The only down side was that it was unhealthily hot in our room on the fourth floor. The hotel obviously can't control the weather and we were in the middle of a heat wave, but there was just no air flow. Had all the windows open and it was still well over 30 degrees in the room the next morning. Also, having the windows open gave us a lovely balcony seat for the drunken antics in the street below.

We didn't opt for dinner and the dancing show, but it was nice to have it offered.

Room Tip: Stay off the upper floors if it's hot.

Perfect location , great desk and then you started walking the halls. Scary. Kept waiting for a Irish ghost to pop out. Everything in the room is chained down , even the key to the balcony door ,which didn't lock and we had to keep open over night . Heat wave in Dublin so really hot in room and didn't expect ac but at least a fan would have helped. Stay on the alley side and you won't need a alarm clock because they start jackihammering at 6 am and then the dry cleaners gets gong with banging as well. Got a great video of the drunks walking back and forth at 7 am .
Had dinner there the next night and you should definitely skip that and enjoy the show but go to burger king for dinner. So hot in dining room but understandable due to heat wave they could have at least kept us kept us loaded with water. Kinda sad overall !

Room Tip: Get the alley and you won't need a wake up call But you can smoke if you get a balcony room ,,

Good place to stay with excellant access to all the attractions. We had a room overlooking the river which was clean and spacious. The staff were efficient and friendly. Breakfast was of good quality. The only downside was the hotel could do with being spruced up, it's looking a bit tired, but I would higly recommend this for a Dublin stay

This hotel is right where you want to stay. On the Liffey, short walks to everything. Bus stops around the corner and great Guinness. Rooms small but fine. Breakfast very good. Night entertainment and atmosphere is great fun.

My husband and I recently stayed in this hotel with a few other friends as we were all attending a concert at Phoenix Park. When we arrived my first opinion of the hotel was that it seemed a lovely place. A reception we were served by very courteous and friendly staff. Went to our room and it was perfect, plenty of space, large bed and a good sized en-suite. The En-suite may be a bit dated however, that doesn't matter when everything was clean and in working order. We had tea that evening in the bar and it was also perfect good food and again great customer service. The cocktails were also lovely definitely a must if you like these. Our breakfast the next morning was delicious all you can eat and worth having. The location of the hotel is perfect everything is within walking distance. I would definitely return to this hotel in the future.
