“Great location!”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

This is an older hotel but in a fantastic location. Across the river from Temple Bar area, a short walk to Trinity college and a Hop on/off Bus stop on the corner. Very clean, decent breakfast and fun bar--loved Michael the bartender. This is definitely a value for where it is located. I would stay there again.

Nice hotel in a perfect location. Staff were very friendly and helpful and although there was no on-site carparking, there is a large multistorey carpark literally round the corner (the hotel provides you with a discount). Quite a popular little hotel, likely due to it's proximity to temple bar and main shopping outlets. If you want to be close to temple bar but avoid the noise levels that you have to endure in most hotels that vicinity, this hotel is perfect. I would definitely stay again.

This was our second visit and we have been fortunate to have rooms on the top floor on both occasions. I can imagine the rooms right over the entertainment could be loud. There is a separate entrance to the hotel from the bar entrance. The security is good and you have to use your room key to access the lifts. Rooms were clean and tidy with carpeted floors: there is an iron and board and tea/coffee making facilities. The bathrooms work. The breakfasts are excellent and the seating lady, Carmel, is amazing. The staff (with the exception of one young receptionist, who checked us out on our departure in silence) were friendly, helpful and efficient. We parked in the nearby Jervis street car park once and in the very small hotel car park another time. The hotel is very central and both times we stayed were low season so we got a good value rate. We have stayed 5 nights in total and we will stay again. It is not a modern hotel, its more like what was available around the country during the 80s, so don't expect a modern or sleek hotel.

Room Tip: High floor at the back

Just got back from staying 4 nights in this fab hotel.
Staff couldn't be more friendly.
I was staying alone in a double room which was big and airy - the only fault was the shower which was very temperamental, the last morning I wanted to wash my hair but couldn't as no water was to be coaxed out of showerhead!
We were celebrating a friends 60th and you don't need to leave the hotel if you're looking for entertainment - excellent band and amazing dancers.
All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

My husband organised a birthday party for me in the Arlington's function room and I have to say it was a great night. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The DJ they had organised was great, Diamond Entertainment I think was the name. All in all a great venue.

We went there for the show only. The area was packed. First half was music and singing and the second half was a combination of dance and singing. Not so professional as I would expect. But again this is performed in a pub, and I had Nothing to complain. Audience were high and in good mood. The show finishes at 10:30pm. Beer served in the pub was not so good...
