Just returned from from a 4 day break at the Arlington Hotel O'Connell Bridge.
we had the most fantastic time 6 of us,first class evening entertainment, great food, friendly helpful staff,a very nice room with a large and very comfortable bed.nicely kept clean by the maids all functioned well,Irish dancing and singing in the evening was a must for a good time.Generally the area around the hotel is a haven of Irish folk music venues, all good.

Just returned from a wonderful weekend the hotel was central to everything, had a room on the front overlooking the river, the staff could not have been more helpful or pleasant. The Irish night was a good night along with the food, music every night in the hotel so you did not have to go out unless you wanted to, if we go back to Dublin again this is where we will stay.

Room Tip: Asked for a front room to over look the river

we recently stayed at the Arlington. The staff on reception were not very welcoming and barely acknowledged us as we checked in same on checking out.
The noise from the bar/disco was loud and went on until 3am. noise from inebriated guests making their way noisily to their rooms continued intermittently until after 4am making sleep impossible.Great place to party but if you want to sleep at any stage forget it. On weekends at least.

Room Tip: Make sure you have elevator service and room located as far away from music noise as possible.

We arrived at 9.30am and greeted by the nicest staff you could wish to meet. our room was not ready until noon, but they kindly stored our luggage until that time. Room was very comfortable and very quiet all night. The breakfast is fantastic with lots of variety to keep you going all day. we enjoyed the dinner show on sunday night and the musicians called PUCA and the dancers were amazing and entertained us all evening.
Already looking when we can fix a return visit.

I had booked this hotel as it was central and offered accommodation with an Irish music and dance night with the evening meal at a very reasonable price. But they had booked us into the wrong room on arrival, so we were disappointed when we were left hanging for over an hour waiting for them to find us a room with an extra bed. Both rooms we saw however were lovely, we had no complaints in that area.
When we went down to tea, we found the music and dancing didn’t start until quite a while after we had finished our meal, (had I realised, I would have booked a later time for the meal and we could have had nana naps before going down). Travelling with two teenagers, we were all very tired after a couple of huge days (and nights) in Ireland, so half of our group didn't last until the dancing. Had we had enough sleep, it would have been a fabulous night out, as the music sure was ‘grand’.
When we ordered our meals, they also managed to mix up a couple of the steak dishes and gave the wrong ones out. The breakfast in the morning was lovely.
I recommend this hotel, there are lovely rooms, great food and entertainment. The central location can't be beaten either. However, their organisational skills were a let down, so be prepared for some possible disorganisation.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room before you book.

We have just returned from four days in Dublin and stayed at the Arlington. The rooms were very nice and good cleanliness. The breakfast was outstanding and kept us full all day. What made breakfast an Evan better experience was the lady that conducts the breakfast service like it is a military operation and made sure everyone was seated and served without having to wait never once resting I wish I had got her name so I could name her on here. The rest of the staff made a point of always having a friendly word not just a hello or walk past like we have experienced in other hotels. The bar and entertainment was very good nice to have in on site. Yes if you are wanting a nice quiet holiday don't book into this hotel as it is noisy at night but for us in our late forties it was the experience we were wishing for out of dublin. it is our third time in Dublin and found it so much nicer this time. Couple of places to make a point of eating and drinking instead of the usual packed temple bar area is Parnells on Parnell street just around the corner along oconnel street was amazing and good value for money food also grand central bar on oconnel street was also a good night out. Enjoy! We did !
