Booked the Townhouse on the basis that it was cheap and well located. We were happy enough with the room- the bed was very comfy and the room as a whole was clean and well equipped. Breakfast is included in the price if you book direct from their website and it was a worthwhile investment! The staff were all very friendly and helpful; other reviewers have suggested they could be rude but we didn't encounter that at all.

My only gripe with the place was the temperature of the rooms. It was more than warm enough without the heating on, but in the middle of the night it came on automatically and the heat was so intense it woke me up. The controller on the heater didn't appear to make any difference. We opened the window which cooled the place down but as our room was on the main road it let all the noise in. Other rooms may not have this problem, however, so I wouldn't use this as a reason not to stay here again.

All in all, it was good value for money despite the heat and noise.

Hi SunshinePleaseLeeds

Thank you for taking the time to offer an opinion of your recent stay with us in The Townhouse Dublin.

I am very happy that you found the staff friendly and our rooms clean and comfortable. I am sorry that the heat disturbed you during the night. As you know it was the first good week of weather we had in Dublin (hopefully many more to come ) Our radiators were still on the time settings for winter and we have since reviewed the times the heating now comes on.

Thank you for BOOKING DIRECT with us, we really appreciate your business. As you know you get the FREE full Irish breakfast when you book direct on our website, and also guests who book direct are kept up to date on all our offers and free draws on Facebook.

Thank you for staying with us and we hope to see you again in the Townhouse Dublin.

Regards, Muriel O’Connor, Proprietor, The Townhouse Dublin City Centre

We chose this hotel for its price/location. It's close enough to the center of Dublin and isn't too expensive. Irish breakfast is only five euro which is a bargain. The staff is very helpful and even have airport bus tickets for sale (bus stop one block away). The hotel is an old townhouse with a bit of history. The breakfast area has been added on the former courtyard (it seems). The rooms are a bit small and in some need of modernisation but we were quite all right. There's only one window pane (normal in old houses in the British Isles) so you hear the traffic, but on the other hand it wasn't a problem at night.

After a horrible experience with the booking in another place, these guys saved our life. They promptly found us a room, offered assistance, and a place to put the luggage in case we wanted to look for a more affordable solution. It is a bit pricey but, considering we didn't mind paying a bit more. The hotel is clean and very central, stuff is fantastic!!!

This hotel is located well in the city, our only complaint was the noise from the bathroom when showering or using the toilet, due to a sani-flow system being used, but reasonable rooms at a reasonable price in a great location! You could do a lot worse!

Stayed Here at the end of last year and was pleasently suprised at the cleanliness of our room! Considering the good price we got the room at for 5 nights i wasnt expecting to much, however we got a balcony overlooking the courtyard, nice clean beds and a nice and clean bathroom aswell. The location is great as it is just across the water from temple bar where all the action happens and just down the road is the centre of all shopping. There is also a tour company just across the road and the tours depart right out fron of the doorstep basically. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. The only disappointment was the breakfast, was pretty basic and because the hotel is part hostel aswell it was very busy most mornings but other then that it was a great stay!

When booking the hotel there were either great reviews or rubbish which is why I wanted to leave my review.
The hotel is basic - clean and in a great location!!
The concierges are fantastic & make the hotel - with their knowledge of Dublin & are happy to help with tours, places to eat & where to go. For the price this hotel is great - id stay here again.
