We just got back from a week in Dublin. We love Dublin! We stayed at The Gresham the whole week and it was the perfect choice. Centrally located to all major attractions, the busline, restaurants. Had an overnight flight, so we arrived at the hotel about 10:30am. Having read a previous review that you weren't allowed up to your room until check in time, only allowed to store your luggage, I fully anticipated the same. When we checked-in the clerk looked on the computer, immediately found an available room for us, and sent us right up! We were so grateful to be able to take a 2 hr nap, then went out for lunch. The room was great, we stayed in the Leffey section, totally quiet at night, a/c worked fine, the bathroom was big and totally renovated with ceramic tile floor, marble walls and granite front of the tub, and we also had a separate shower! Previous reviewer was correct about no "scenery" out the window, but you have to consider you are in a major metropolis with lots of other bldgs around you. The only odd thing was the hair dryer was located and bolted down to the desk drawer. So you had to dry your hair in the room instead of using it in the bathroom. Which was a minor inconvenience. I would definitely stay there again.

Love the location. Love the foyer. Friendly helpful staff. But they mEssed up my husband's surprise. When booking on their site there was an option to add cupcakes or muffins with a special message. I paid 10 Euro and requested that they deliver cupcakes on the 12th with a Happy Birthday message to my husband. Instead, upon our check in on the 8th, there were muffins sitting in our room. With no message. And while it's not the worst bed I've slept on it was too uncomfortable for a good night's sleep. We were in the Lavery wing and our window overlooked a roof. More than once I was awakened at 5 am from various sounds outside. One sounded like an alarm going off. The other mornings it rather sounded like they were throwing beer kegs around. Difficult sleeping conditions but the overall atmosphere was great and the location couldn't be better.

My Sister and I always choose the Gresham Hotel for our annual pamper break. We return every year because of the fantastic service and beautiful surroundings. We can always be assured of the staff's full attention. Excellent food too.

It's also incredibly convenient to the main train and bus stations.

My husband and I visited Dublin for our first wedding anniversary and booked the Gresham as a treat. On first impressions, the hotel is fantastic, great location, beautiful interior. Move onwards into the bedroom and we were greatly disappointed. The paint on the walls were chipped, there were watermarks on the bathroom ceiling, the lamp didn't work and the bedding was ripped. Even though this was mentioned, the bedding was not changed once during our stay and it took 3 days to replace the bulb into the lamp. My husband arranged for rose petals on our bed as a surprise from when we returned from our evening meal on our anniversary - this was done at the wrong time and we came back after breakfast to find the petals there. Great place to drink/eat but I would not return to stay, there is plenty of competition in Dublin and you can get nicer rooms for the same or lower price. The concierge, Eugene was very friendly and helpful, but you can get the same information from the tourism office just down the street.....

When I arrived at the Gresham from the US, it was a cold and blustery evening in September, but the atmosphere inside was warm and welcoming. Registration was fast and efficient. The room was spotless and what a surprise to find a box of delicious chocolate of the pillow. Housekeeping supplied the room with an abundance of tea and coffee.
Would I return in future to this hotel? Absolutely!!!

Hi,i stopped at this hotel during my visit to Dublin. We were on a tight schedule and time was limited. The staff were very kind, helpfull, efficient and proffessional. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The bar and restaurant were stylish with a good selection of food and drink. The quality and presentation of the meals was excellent. The lobby had a lovely ornate feel about it.
I felt very relaxed and i throughly enjoyed my stay in Dublin. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
