Buswells is in a very central location just off Grafton Street and within a 5 minute walk from the air-coach stop at Trinity College. The area seems fairly quiet and safe, even during a weekend stopover. This was our third visit to Dublin and our first to this hotel - we came over to see REM Live Rehearsals at the Olympia this time. The hotel is well-run and has friendly, efficient staff. We requested a quiet room anticipating noise from hen/stag-parties etc, but need not have worried in this area. Our room had a huge superking size bed and effective air-con, but no view - just the back of a big office building. Breakfast was lovely - huge choice. We liked the well-run and reasonably priced bar in this hotel. We'll happily stay here on our next visit!

Second time here. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice hotel, comfortable and clean. Changed room because wanted a bath - this was done without any bother even though hotel was full.

My husband and I stayed at Buswells for 2 nights in September 2006. The hotel itself was pleasant and the staff were welcoming. Our room was a complete disappointment - small and dark, with no view, just noise from the hotel kitchen when our window was open. Fortunately we didn't have to spend much time there.
The hotel breakfast was good and there was a large selection of hot and cold food. The location was also fine as as the city centre was just a short walk away.
We were disappointed with Dublin itself, as compared to many European cities it is visually un-inspiring with lots of drab grey buildings and run down areas. The excellent pubs and restaurants made our short break enjoyable, as did a visit to the Guinness Factory and Kilmainham Gaol but one trip to Dublin was enough for me - I won't be going back.

We stayed in dublin for a four night break over the bank holiday weekend. We were on a girly weekend and wanted to be near temple bar but not too near the noise!! The hotel was clean and well presented, the rooms were comfortable with all amenities. The concierge "paddy" was a gem who was only too happy to help (even break into a suitcase that the lock had stuck on!!) and have a laugh in the mean time. The other staff were also helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was enjoyable with a good selection of continental and full cooked irish breakfast which did wonders for a hangover! This hotel was also a five minute walk from plenty of shops. We really enjoyed our stay in dublin and would definately go back again.

Just back from a 3 night break in Dublin,we had booked 3 double rooms, i was a bit disappointed that the rooms were not of the same standard even though we had booked them altogether and paid the same price for all of them. Found the bar very reasonable and friendly. Pleased with the advice from a previous review on using the aircoach this was very efficient and dropped us off outside hotel considerably cheaper than a taxi for 6 of us. This hotel is very well situated, we enjoyed our stay and would go again.
