We stayed at Buswells with a Living Social voucher that we had been given by friends. The hotel is a stones throw away from Grafton Street. On arrival they didn't have our booking but this wasn't down to the fault of Buswells staff as we had used Irish Country Hotels to book. Not to worry, we were asked to sit for a minute whilst the extremely helpful and friendly staff went about securing a great room for us and sent us down a wee glass of wine on the house for all the trouble.

The rooms are large and well equipped. The beds and sheets are so comfy and spotlessly clean.

Everything about the hotel screams "Service"... Real honest down to earth Irish hospitality. In essence, what we do best.

There is handy but pricey car parking to the rear. Be shrewd and take the car out during the day and find somewhere a little further out to park as the hotel picks up the tab for overnight parking only.

We would return again to this lovely hotel.

We really enjoyed a city weekend break at Buswells. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, room lovely, food great. Location perfect - bang in the city centre / near all the good shopping and entertainment spots. Ambiance and quality very high. A hidden gem :-)

We did not book the Buswells Hotel, but we ended up there due to a booking error on our first hotel. This hotel did not disappoint at all. It is right across the street from the National Gallery, and government buildings. It had a fine restaurant. The rooms were magnificent. Great place to stay. Recommended highly.

I use this hotel on a fairly regular basis and the high standards never vary. A good quality hotel in a very central location with easy access to all public transport . Wide selection of food both in restaurant and bar which is served speedily by friendly efficient staff. Overall a fine hotel which should be a first choice when visiting Dublin.Al Greenock

Our daughters paid for us to stay for two nights at Buswells Hotel in Dublin. Buswells is a traditional hotel close to Trinity College and the Irish Parliament building in the south east of the city. All the staff are friendly and helpful, giving lots of tips for eating, sightseeing and getting around the city. The room was spacious and the bed one of the best that we have slept in. We enjoyed our breakfasts, including the porridge, which is always tricky when you are away from home. Although you are centrally-located, the street is quiet and an easy walk from the shops, bars and museums.

Room Tip: Ask front desk staff for best available

We have just returned from a visit to Dublin with a group of friends.
We all enjoyed our stay but in our case the room left something to be desired - the furniture was scuffed and worn and in the bathroom the bath had chips in the enamel one was the size of a 10p piece - not what I expected. One BIG possitive was the bed and bedlinen - this was v v good and was changed daily.
I agree with a previous review that the breakfast was rather ordinary and the 'full Irish' was disappointing, and the toast 'limp'. We took 2 of our evening meals in the restaurant and this was excellent I would particularly wish to compliment the two young men -Johnny & Benjamin - who looked after us - they were FANTASTIC and you will be lucky if they attend to you. One of the ladies in our party wanted to take them home and put them on her mantelpiece !!!!!!!
ALL the staff greet you with a smile and are friendly and most helpful - indicative of a happy workplace.
All in all a good place to stay , central, and has a buzz - especially early evening. Yes I would return but would ask for a room NOT facing the street.

Room Tip: Ask for room NOT facing the street as these are noisy during the night.

Buswells is like a favourite pair of trousers. Familiar, comfortable and well fitted. It's a brilliant location, and central for everything in Dublin.
My room was a good size, quite and characterful. I'm fed up with Hiltons and Marriotts.
Dinner in the hotel resturant was excellent.
The only let down was breakfast. You really need to up the standard there.
