Probably the best hostel in which I've ever stayed, especially in Ireland. The staff was very friendly and organized. The rooms were clean and each had a bathroom so there was no walking down the hallway in your towel to take a shower! The lounge was huge and fun and a great place to make friends. During our two week stay, my friends and I made some really great new connections and friends. Same goes for the kitchen. Plenty of space for cooking and preparing food and plenty of room to find a seat with your friends or with friendly strangers. The reception is 24 hours which is a big plus, especially if you're out partying in Temple Bar and don't want a curfew binding you to a certain schedule. The location couldn't be better. Although it's an expensive area, it's a fun and accommodating area. Being in Temple Bar, it's a bit loud at night but that didn't keep me awake. It's only a 3 minute walk to Tesco, Starbucks, Papa Johns, Olympia Theatre, Eddie Rocket's, shopping malls, Trinity College, etc. Everything about Barnacles was great and I will be staying here every time I come to Dublin from now on!
