I never expect a lot from a hostel. For the price you pay you don't get much. But this place raised the bar. The staff were major friendly and vigilant, No one got in or out without showing their pass card which made if feel extra safe. We popped in to ask when check in was and we were a few hours early but the lad behind the desk was more than happy to offer us use of the common room to relax in until check in. The room was clean and tidy with an in room bathroom which was lovely and clean. We were offered breakfast with our stay which we didn't avail of but i'm sure it was nice! I would recommend anyone stay here and I will most definitely be staying here again!

Room Tip: We stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm. That was a bit tight but still cosy and clean.

This hostel has an amazing location, right in the heart of the temple bar area. It's easy to walk to tons of bars and restaurants. It was clean, staff was friendly and very helpful, and common areas were nice.

we stayed here for four nights in July. The location is right in the heart of the temple bar district and right beside the actual temple bar. We couldn't have chosen a better located hostel. We booked a private double ensuite room and it was clean enough but very very small for two people. We barely had room to walk around the bed once we got our luggage in. The hostel is not air conditioned, and this was a problem in July. We had a juliette balcony so we were able to open the door for air but there was a lot of noise so it couldn't be left open if we wanted to get a good sleep. The common areas were decent, we used the lounge for wifi but we never had the breakfast (try elephant and castle just down the street! delicious) The staff was very helpful and friendly. Overall if you don't plan on staying in the room for too long than this hostel is great, just a little cramped and hot in the middle of the summer.

We booked through a secondary hostel booking site, and when we got to the hostel our reservation was wrong. They had on file that we were coming, the room we booked didn't exist and they didn't have any beds ready. So that was irritating (we had to come back after they figured it out) but the hostel worker did what he could to get us a room.

Also, we were excited to be so close to the night scene, but we should have thought more carefully about it. The hostel was warm, so we had to keep the window open at night and it was loud until early in the morning. It made a good night's sleep almost impossible.

Price was good, and there were cages under the bunk beds you could lock up if you had a lock (which I would recommend at any hostel). The hallways were twisted and tight, bathrooms were shared. Kitchen area and lounge. Key card to get into the bed areas.

After reading all the reviews for this place I thought we'd picked the ideal location for our stay in Dublin. Unfortunately this wasn't the case. We were in a mixed dorm of ten which was extremely cramped and stuffy. The beds were uncomfortable and the bathroom not very clean. The location on the other hand is superb if you want to be in the heart of the Temple Bar night scene - however this means noise levels throughout the night are horrendous.

I must say the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful, but because of everything listed above I wouldn't choose to stay here again the future.

It can get really noisy at night when the beer truck unloads the barrels along the stone road. The room is definitely smaller than the pictures showed. Staffs are friendly. Everything else are average
