“Good Location but would not return”
Reviewed November 1, 2008

The room was terribly small. Had to turn sideways to get around the bed. Staff were indifferent. The area is a bit rougher than I was expecting. The location was by far the best part of this hotel. Close to all the tourist sites. If I was to return to Dublin, I would not stay here.

Very small room (was a squeeze to walk around the end of the bed!) but otherwise couldn't complain - efficient, clean and a great location.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We had a double room, measuring about 10'x8'. The hotel is convieniently located 2 blocks from O'Connell Street, down the street from the Spire of Dublin. The staff was friendly.

We stayed in room 311, it is a bit small, but has all the necessities, hot water pot, tv, etc. Heater works. Rooms were cleaned every day.

For the price, it is not a bad place to stay, however, note the following issues.

The shower had very poor water pressure and was not hot enough (however, the sink had very hot water)

There was a low frequency sound repeating every few second or so. I suspect there was an electrical transformer around that area. The noise is very faint, but can be annoying if you notice it.

The street can be noisy with traffic and people. Maybe the interior rooms are better.

This hotel is located right in the heart of Dublin, just off of O'Connell Street, and is close to a lot of the sights, as well as a train station and bus stops. Getting there from the Dublin Airport is a breeze via the bus, and a trip on a taxi will cost you about 20 euros. The room I had was small, but adequate. There was a double bed, tv, bathroom, small closet and tea/coffee maker. My room also overlooked Talbot Street, which was nice during the day, but somewhat noisy at night. Housekeeping cleaned the room and brought fresh towels every morning. The hotel was very clean, although the cleaners they used smelled strange. The staff was very helpful and were kind enough to arrange for a taxi to take me to the airport and gave me a wakeup call. Overall, this hotel is a great choice for the traveler on a budget.

This hotel is in an ideal location for all of the attractions of Dublin.Temple Bar,Grafton St. etc. are all within easy walking distance and the airport bus stop is acouple of hundred metres away.Rooms are small but clean and comfortable, breakfast was good and the staff helpful and friendly. It can get rather noisy outside, especially on a weekend, but this is a city centre, and such things are to be expected.Overall I would recommend Days Inn as a good, convenient budget hotel.
