Stayed here with friends for a night in June. We had a lovely time. The bed was the comfiest hotel bed I’ve slept in in a while and the breakfast was to die for! So many options!
Only slight downfall was the bar food. We had hot chicken wings (not spicy at all) and fish cakes (which had a weird balsamic mushy strawberry sauce) but other than that it’s a great location and the staff were v attentive and friendly.

It is always nice to receive such lovely comments from our guests about our hotel. All comments received are placed on a notice board in the staff area so all of the team are aware of all feedback on our product and service.

The difficulties you experienced are unacceptable and I can only assure you that your experience is not a true reflection on our normal standard of service. I have discussed your comments with our team and the necessary re-training will now be carried out to help ensure there is no repeat of such problems.

Great gym facilities, and 18m pool
Gym staff very friendly, i was using it daily and it tended to the needs of training.

Breakfast selection was very adequate and if something was running low they would be on it super fast and efficiently.

Rooms are of good size and clean! Towels seemed to be changed even when not put into the shower or floor.

Definitely worth a visit for a pleasant and comfortable experience.

We didn’t make use of the Spa treatments unfortunately.

We went on our 24th weddingday for the prolonged Pentacoste-weekend on a citytrip to Dublin. We chose this hotel because it appraised itself as "Spa Hotel". Unfortunately we had overlooked that the wellness & beauty part of it is only open on working days. So we were able to use the pool and the sauna as well as the pretty big fitness room, but had to look for another place for the spa with massage and nail treatments. We found this at the Shelbourne, the perfect place. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is situated a bit outside of town, but you can rent the public bikes right opposite to the hotel. Also it has lots of bus stops near with direct connections for example to the airport. Not everyone in the personell was receotive, but maybe this was due to some anti-abortion-conventions, which took place in those days prior to national elections. The room was comfortable, pretty clean and a bit spartanic aquipped. A plus was the fair distance to the 3Arena, where great rock concerts take place ( appeox. 800 m away).

Dear Ilexmuesli,

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. It is fantastic to know that everything was to your liking and that your stay at The Spencer was so enjoyable.

I have to agree our location allows for easy access to the 3Arena and Dublin’s center with many forms of Public transport readily available and close enough to enjoy the sights next to the river if walking. It is great that this could benefit you during you stay.

I hope on your next visit your will get to try our “East” restaurant with its Asian inspired dishes it has a lot to offer for all types of taste buds. You should try the Nasi Goreng, it’s one of my favorites.

Thank you again for taking the time to give feedback on your stay and we hope to welcome you back to our hotel in the future.

Best Wishes,
Cristian S.

Stayed 2 nights in June18. Location is great, right on the Liffey so we walked along the river in the evening. Hopon Hopoff bus stops half a block away, and transfer bus to the airport stops outside, so that makes life easy as a tourist. Easy walk to CBD, and many tourist sites. Room was clean and comfortable - we were overlooking the side street, not the main road. Restaurants and cafes in the side street. Found staff friendly and helpful and would certainly stay there again. Weather during our visit was good, and can imagine if the weather was bad it might make a difference - we were just lucky!

Dear jaitkenhead,

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. It is fantastic to know that everything was to your liking and that your stay at The Spencer was so enjoyable.

I have to agree our location is convenient with the 747 airport bus stop next to the hotel and the CCD and is also within walking distance of 3Arena, The Bord Gais Energy Theatre, The Aviva Stadium, Croke Park and O’Connell Street.

If you didn’t get the chance to relax in our Spencer Health Club I would definitely recommend you try it out on your next visit. It is the perfect place to relax after a long day.

Once again, thank you for staying at The Spencer Hotel and we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

The hotel fronts the lithe river. It was clean and staff was competent. Rooms vary and we initially had on on the first floor which had a shower that was more intended for handicapped people. It was just a floor area and shower head. It was strange but we got moved and the room was fine. Overall guest services were helpful and courteous. It’s a 10-15 minute walk to the Temple bar area, not far for us but with mobility issues it would be too far to walk. I would stay here again as it was pleasant.
