I stayed here for my business trip to Dublin. Excellent location as it is a block from convention centre but within walking distance to almost any place in central Dublin. The airport bus stop is right in front of the hotel so there is no benefit in taking a cab from and to the airport!
Good sized rooms, good quality linen and good breakfast. The room service food was amazing, surprisingly. The only negative comment I have is about room keys. They would not keep the charge for more than a few hours so I had to go to the main desk every few hours. The main desk staff was very helpful but could not fix this key issue.

We stayed here our first night in Ireland. Very comfortable, large beds. Very clean. Service was excellent.
We didn't eat there, so I can not comment on the food.
There were 2 large beds in the main room and another bedroom with a large bed. I am not usually fond of staying in the heart of the city, but it was great. Everything within walking distance.

We recently spent 3 nights here while on a break in Dublin. The hotel has recently undergone renovations after being taken over by another company, it was formally the Clarion. It is now really nice, the rooms are spacious and we were overlooking the river Liffy so had a great view. Breakfast was good, plenty to choose from, and we did eat in the restaurant one evening, also very good, the service was great and the staff friendly.

Room Tip: Rooms at front of hotel have great views over the river.

Our stay was fantastic. The hotel seemed to be undergoing refurbishments but that didn't affect us. We had such a restful sleep and the location is perfect for exploring Dublin, but getting away from the hustle and bustle at night.

Came for dinner in East and was so happy with everything.
The food was fantastic, the staff were wonderful and so attentive.
We were unfamiliar with the menu, but Orla was so helpful and had some great suggestions.
I cannot recommend the restaurant highly enough, especially the sea bass.

Fantastic location for the O2, close to good restaurants & within walking distance of O2. Also very close to Luas stop. Hotel & rooms were disappointing. Very average rooms, clean but not overly clean. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very disappointing for the additional price paid.

Stayed at The Spencer Hotel from 31 May-4 June. We had a lovely room overlooking the river. We had excellent assistance from the hotel staff - Shane couldn't have been nicer. He helped us with restaurant suggestions, directed us on how to get around this area of town, offered great touring suggestions. If we asked, he had an answer and was so, so nice. Des and Parmesh were of great assistsnce as well in the restaurant and bar. Rene helped as well upon arrival with a room upgrade and amenities sent to the room. If you asked, they all responded quickly and kindly. If you are going for the Penn State foot game, then suggest you stayhere! It's nice and close

Lovely modern, lively hotel on the Quays in central Dublin and just a ten minute walk from Connolly Street Station. Tastefully decorated with a lovely atmosphere - usic playing in reception/foye/bar - which is all open plan and very inviting on arrival. On the same road that the O2 arena is on, so again just a ten minute walk. Staff very professional and friendly, room was spacious and clean and even had a Nespresso machine (which I couldn't operate and there were no instructions lol) , beds comfy and shower perfect! We also like the fact that you could open the window in the room - which is sometimes unheard of. Aircon and heating controls in room. Although we booked room only the breakfast this morning looked good. Only there for one night so just had a nosey at the pool and gym area which looked great too. Would definately return :-)
