This little gem is a small restaurant with a small menu but consistently delivers when it comes to quality.
I stumbled across this place one day and have been a lunch regular since when in this part of town. Try the steak in the evening or Pizza mama mia at lunchtime.

Me and a friend had come down from the North to see Muse live at the O2. As we had arrived early we scouted for somewhere close-by to eat. After walking about 5 minutes from the O2 we saw a sign directing us to Mamma Mia's. The restaurant is small and has a great atmosphere, nice decor, staff were very friendly with us and each other (which added to the pleasant atmosphere) Fast and personal service. I had Bruchetta to start and a pizza for main course which were both exceptional. A true authentic Italian restaurant with exemplary service. Highly recommend! Although perhaps would be wise to book in advance as I can imagine it is normally hard to get a seat.

I often passed this restaurant and never gave it a second glance until they got a great review in the Irish Times. This is as good as the previous contributors say, true, it's very small but that means the food is cooked to order and the service is attentive. You will need to book a day or two ahead to ensure you get a table. Very reasonable prices too.
Highly recommended!

The Roman (potato) pizza here is worth the trip alone...stunningly good. No frills, excellent, simple Italian and very reasonable prices...best lunch in this neighbourhood by far. Enjoy.

It only has a few tables, but they seem to do a brisk lunch busienss with the hospital and offices around. It is a bit out of the way, but on a posh area close to Merton Square. The waiterss was new, so she was not all that familiar with the menu, but a helpful chef from Argentina was happy to assist. I had the gnocchi, simple but delightful. Prices are average for the area, It is a neighboourhod restaurant.
