“Excellent buffet luncheon”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 15, 2013

Do yourself a favor, save your money, and have lunch at the upstairs Kilkenny cafeteria. The soup and breads are great, plus you can see what you are ordering. They have a full selection of sweets, and the pace is not rushed. We loved our lunch there.

“A Lovely Place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 13, 2013

First time here but have heard good things about the place.

Lovely atmosphere from the moment I arrived at the cafe. The lighting works really well and sets the mood before you sit down. Loved how each part of the cafe had a different vibe. I chose a table by the window overlooking trinity college.

Ok the food!

I am vegetarian and so had thought the selection might not be the best. I needn't have worried. There was a huge selection.
I ended up choosing some the oatmeal with toast (choice of breads) and a good and strong coffee. The oatmeal was lovely and a very generous size. I must add the whole thing cost only 4:80.
Amazing value as the food was quality and the environment was spot on.

My friend had a full Irish (again very well priced... 6euro). He said the sausages and bacon were great. The sausages looked quiet big and not processed. The mushrooms and grilled cherry tomatoes looked great on the plate.

In a nutshell.. the food quality is very high and the prices are the best you'll find.

Ohh and I loved the atmosphere.
I'll be back again.

“Quality experience in spacious surroundings”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 10, 2013

Landed here at end of a shopping session.

'Regular' Americano was a decent-sized mug, good value.
Good range of cakes etc for late afternoon.
I was alone, with bags of shopping, and helpful table server took these to a table.

Although the first floor above the busy Kilkenny Design Centre, the experience was unrushed, spacious.

This visit was only coffee and cake, but have had meals in previous visits... Reliably good.

Free WiFi just worked.

Hard to beat for a good value daytime meal.

“Tasty, comfortable and clean in Dublin's city centre”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 5, 2013

Dropped in for Breakfast midweek and was pleasantly surprised.
The attitude of the staff was very helpful, and the service reflected this. They wanted to please....
Food was well laid out, fresh and tasty. Tables were clean and area cosy.
And the cost was very reasonable. Will definitely be trying their lunch one of these days.
Located overlooking the grounds of Trinity, it's well worth trying to if you're peckish and in the locality.....

“My favourite place to eat when I'm dining alone in central Dublin”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2013 via mobile

I love eating in the restaurant upstairs in Kilkenny design. The food is really lovely - home cooked 'dinners' and healthy salads / beautiful salmon or scrumptious scones / deserts / coffee. There's free wifi, the staff are lovely and it's the kind of place you can sit and read the paper on your own while looking out on trinity / people scurrying around on Nassau street without feeling conspicuous. A firm favourite with me.
