Booked into The Harding through lastminute.com for a Christmas night out and was very impressed with it for the money. I'm very familiar with Dublin and wanted a central location but I also didn't want to just stay anywhere. After reading reviews I decided on this hotel. It's pretty basic but nice. The room and bathroom were spotless and it was overall very comfortable. My room had an amazing view of Christchurch that any tourist would greatly appreciate. It's also very central to everything in the City centre. The only minor issue that I had was the very strong smell of disinfectant in the bathroom. I was also surprised that the bells of Christchurch ring every 15 though the night, but it didn't bother me and otherwise it was very quite outside. I'll definitely stay here the next time I'm in Dublin.

The hotel is well situated for Temple Bar restaurants and bars. O'Connell Street, Trinity College and St. Stephens Green (together with Grafton Street Shopping) are an easy walk. The hotel is opposite Christchurch Cathedral, you don't need a watch - the cathedral clock bells will tell you the time! We were made very welcome on arrival and the reception staff gave some very good advice about nearby restaurants. You can leave your valuables in safes at reception. Our room was very spacious but it had the smallest tv I have seen in a hotel room. Breakfast in available in the Copper Alley Bistro until the very civilised time of 12:00 and is reasonably priced. Darkey Kelly's bar is in the lower ground floor and it offers everything you would expect from a Dublin city centre bar. Live music nights and karaoke nights are also features of the bar. We were staying at the time when office and other Christmas parties were in full swing and the entertainments carried on into the small hours (03:30) of Saturday and Sunday morning. Despite being on the 4th floor of the hotel we continued to be aware of these parties. If you have time on your hands between checking out and actually departing to your next destination, the hotel will store you luggage free of charge.

Lovely town in the Irish Republic, but very pricey!! Stayed at the Harding Hotel in the Temple Bar area of Dublin and the hotel was great. Lovely rooms and food. Staff were so nice and nothing was too much trouble for them to do to make our holiday good. They have a restaurant attched to the hotel, The Copper Alley, and it is quite pricey as is the bar attached which is called Darkey Kelly. Dublin is a very expensive city wherever you go to spend money.
Would recommend this hotel to tourists. Not overly expensive as we booked bed and breakfast wih Barrhead Travel and got a good deal.

Arrived for an overnight stay in the Harding Hotel on Sunday night. The hotel is situated in a not very up-market area, however the hotel itself is fine. The foyer is compact with lots of different sections to it.
The reception is small but adequate. The receptionist was very pleasant and very knowledgeable about the various fabulous Liam O'Neill paintings hanging on the walls. Turns out that O'Neill (one of Irelands foremost painters) is a friend of the hotel's owner apparently.
The room was spotless with all the usual facilities. The double bed was very comfortable. The hotel is in a built-up area but, as I was on the 5th floor the only intrusion was the melodic chimes from the nearby Christchurch Cathedral which I did not find intrusive.
The hotel is very close to Dame Street and around the corner from Temple Bar, the centre of life in Dublin.
I left very early in the morning so did not have an opportunity to sample the food and I'm afraid I can't comment on that.
All in all this hotel is a gem and I would have no hesitation in staying there again.

Stayed at the Harding Hotel this week. Very good value, lovely room, nice breakfast in the bistro next door. Would recommend The Harding. Yes, the cathedral bells were a bit annoying on the first night, but not too bad in the end. Good location and interesting area. Fishamble St is the oldest street in Dublin - meaning Fish Market. It is located in the Viking/Medieval area and some of the paving slabs near the Hotel have Viking/medieval artefacts or something like that embedded in them. Fascinating. At night the Hotel is lit up beautifully. One comment would be that room very hot and this was rectified, but surprised at how hot it was in the hotel corridors!
