As in Rome... well we just had to spend an afternoon in a real pub drinking Guinness and this was our choice. The black stuff was fresh and the Irish music in the background just topped it off. More of these afternoons please.

Like other reviews came across this bar on a visit to the Temple bar area. Highlight for us was the great atmosphere due to the excellent live music provided. The food in the restaurant was excellent value. Compared with prices we are used to then the drinks were a bit expensive, however the entertainment and excellent bar staff does not come cheap... and we felt overall good value. Although really busy there was a jovial atmosphere and we made this our 'local' for the duration of our visit to Dublin.

Came across The Quays by accident after coming from The Temple Bar but we were really impressed and came back every night for the rest of our stay. It comes alive at night when the atmosphere is brilliant. Saw one of the best acoustic solo acts ever - a lad called Jake who played on Tuesday evening - absolutely excellent. The rest of the acts were outstanding too. A bit cheaper than some of the other bars. Well worth a visit

Excellent atmosphere even early in the day and lasts right through until closing time. Reasonable prices too... ?5.50 for a Guinness and that atmosphere Dublin delivers on abundance!

My wife and I decided to see what this place was like on a recommendation from a friend. It was excellent. service was perfect, food was excellent and very much so worth the money. Both my wife and I had the 2 courses for €18.95. for starters we had mushrooms and wedges. big portions, well presented. Mains we had sausage and mash and stew with mash. Again big portions and well presented. the food tasted amazing and would highly recommend it to anyone. Only downside we had no room left for desert!!
