Beautiful evening with great food. Started with appetizers and the oysters were divine. Great french portions (be advised they are smaller than Irish or American style portions) but the presentation and the staff was attentive and knowledgeable about their menu and wine selections.

Great date environment with a luxurious feel but casual dress is still appropriate for the setting and atmosphere.

Would love to go again.

we ate here mid-week. the place was packed and buzzing with a great atmosphere. We got a brilliant seat in the front of the restaurant by the window which has a great view of the canal that runs directly in front of it. we ordered from the seasonal menu, which is 25euro for two courses, we also both got dessert and shared a bottle wine. All the food was cooked to perfection, delicate with some unusual flavours and a brilliant presentation. I had the rhubarb crumble for dessert and i promise you its like no crumble you have had before, you are in for a surprise if you go for this option. All in all our bill only came to 100euro. Which for food and service like this is amazing value.
I definitely will be returning next time I return to Dublin.

We've had some lovely meals in Locks over the past few years, but dinner for two this evening didn't measure up to past experience.
Service was slow and rather impersonal (delivered with a cheerful but formulaic patter). Starters and main courses all looked as if they had been kept warm for a while rather than swiftly served. Flavours, although intense, lacked freshness and several dishes were seriously over salted (a point we made to our waitress).
The selection of wines, although fairly priced, was short on curiosity value (we noticed this also on previous visits) and - a much more serious omission - many producers' names were missing. Our white Burgundy was served way too cold.
All just a little slipshod, in other words. Not Michelin- star material to our minds, certainly.

Went here in a group of 12 people. We had our meal upstairs in nice light, large and airy room. The service was excellent. We had a set menu with a choice of 3 starters, entrees and desserts. The choices were interesting and well presented as you would expect for a Michelin star restaurant. I loved their bread which was presented in cloth bags and the waiter kept me supplied with it throughout the meal! No comment on cost as I will pay next week.
