We were a group of ten sporty guys from England over for some craic on a stag do and had the most fantastic time at EGG. The team there were so accommodating to our needs which included a change of timings on the actual day of the event. The experience itself was also great and real good fun we had no previous experience of any of the games but will had a great time and this was no issue. Cannot recommend these guys highly enough.

Thank Chris T

Guys - thanks for sharing your kind words glad you enjoyed the session - We hope after the flight delay that the rest of the weekend went well for the team. Somehow I think it was shaping up for a good one. Good luck for the big day and we hope that tall stories of Gaelic sporting prowess feature in the best mans speech!!

We are a old boys rugby team from France, meeting up once a year for a week end of sports and fun. We had chosen to experience Gaelic Games as a warm up to a game planned later in the day and were just thrilled by the experience. Really makes you better understand and feel an important part of Ireland culture and passion and many of the games were willing to renew the experience.
Obviously the warm welcome by georginha is a large cherry on the cake.
We combined the experience with a visit of Croke park which perfectly completed the day. I can only recommend anyone visiting Dublin to do the same mix.

Hurlers by their nature are mad. You have got to be to play this game. With the Sliotar (ball) travelling at more than 100 mph and 30 guys with Caman (Ash sticks)in their hand chasing after it , their is very rarely a game of hurling which is not exciting. Most games are high scoring and don't be surprised to see body checking and shouldering during the game. Protective helmets are worn but you will see the odd drop of blood spilt. Visit the museum in Croke Park to see the history of our national game and no match is complete without a pint of Guinness with rival supporters in the cat and cage in Drumcondra.

Despite EGG normally only offering sessions to larger parties, myself and my friend Paul were accomdated on our own, with all the limitations that brings. We are eternally grateful as we had a brilliant afternoon. We had picked up some knowledge of Gaelic Sports from the Croke Park tour in the morning but got a full rundown of all the sports and then got the opportunity have a go at them. Fair to say that I started off well with the Handball and got progressively worse through Football and Hurling. Cormac was a brilliant host and coach, very patient and incredibly knowledgable and like everyone we met in Dublin, so friendly.

I can categorically state that I would recommend EGG to anybody visiting Dublin and I honestly if I was organising a stag do, I would deliberately go to Dublin just to ensure the group did the EGG.

Thanks so much for accomodating us and I am sure we'll be back.

It was a pleasure to have you around for the day. We're delighted that you'd consider coming back to Dublin with a group - If you do we'll be ready for a mini tournament and you might even take it on yourself to teach us some cricket! Check out our planned gathering weekend in August for the Póc fada finals - that'll be a blast just outside Dublin and you'd be more than welcome. It's a weekend event that best experienced rather than explained but trust us it's worth the effort!

We attended the Gaelic Football match Dublin vs Mayo at Croke park and it was awesome if you love live sports!
