If you want a really friendly and relaxed places to stay with an amazing home cooked breakfast and good location.. then this is your place!
Felt very at home here due to staff who are lovely and go out their way to help. The owners have a gorgeous golden retriever puppy too! There is a lovely patio and garden so I had my breakfast outside. Will definitely be returning.

The staff was so welcoming and we had several delightful conversations with the owner. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The location was convenient to the Dart, but we found that the Dart ran infrequently in the evenings and didn’t start running until 9:30 on Sundays.

I loved the art work in the stairway and common areas. It was delightful that when we returned for the day we were offered tea and delicious homemade cookies.

One evening we took an evening walk on the lovely beaches nearby and ate dinner in the town of Sandymount.

While everything was clean, it was getting a bit threadbare. The towels especially were getting ragged.

Dublin is such an expensive city, compared to other places in town this is a bargain.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in July. The room averaged about $259 (including taxes/fees) a night. For that price, we got a room that was tired looking and needed updating. The carpet was frayed and spotted, the furniture pretty scuffed, blankets had seen better days, and the tub with shower was moldy. Stair carpet was also frayed. We were greeted by the owners on arrival, but after that initial meeting, they disappeared---we never saw them at breakfast or otherwise. The girls serving at breakfast and doing the housework were great. Breakfast was tasty and ample. The place is located in a quiet section of Dublin and is a pleasant 10 minute walk from the DART station. For the price, this place did not deliver.

We stayed at the Aberdeen Lodge fo a couple of nights in Dublin before a wedding. We found the staff to be warm and friendly. They helped us with travels reservations and even afternoon tea.
My only reservation about the place was that are room showed some signs of wear. The linens were worn and the room needed a good paint job
Overall I would still recommend this place but I hope the do a little freshening up of this rooms.
