“Beautiful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2014

This is a beautiful park, but bring your walking shoes and a water bottle. This park is large. There are quite a few statues to see within the park, but they are quite spread apart. There are paths and sidewalks through the park, so it is easy to navigate.

“Beautiful park”

When you want to slow down from a long day of touring Dublin with the kids, stop by Phoenix park to enjoy a stroll, lay out on the grass near a pond, or let the kids release some pent up energy on the playground.

“Where the deer and the antelopes play, well the deer at least.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2014

The "park" as it is known to all Dubliners in the largest "city" Park in Europe of more than 550 acres. It is home to the President of Ireland, The Zoo, Garda HQ, The US Ambassador's Official Residence as well as Farmleigh, once the home of the Earl of Iveagh of the Guinness Family, and owned by the Irish Government and used to entertain and on occasions house visiting heads of State or visiting Political Heads of Governments. There are many sporting events that take place in the "park" such as polo, cricket, soccer and Gaelic games. The "Park" is also where two Popes came, on two separate visits, and gave "mass" to over 1m pilgrims and there remains a Papal Cross to mark the spot!
