“Terrible”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

Tiny rooms per beds
Who does 1 key per room?
Internet would not stay connected or work well at all
Living areas weren't nice.
I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here even if you were going to just party as there is horrible road noise very early in the morning.
The walls also made weird banging sounds and our shower leaked.
I could go on and on. But we are now staying somewhere much nicer. The times hostel. Check it.

I was quite weary bout living in a hostel as it was my first time but to my surprise it was quite enjoyable! It is located right smack in the middle of everything.

The beds are quite comfy and every morning someone comes to clean the bathroom . The room my friends and I were in as well heated and so was the water. Though the breakfast was just toast and cereal I was happy to have that for the price I as paying. The receptionist wee so friendly especially the guy there in the morning who was very helpful !

The free tour in the morning is so worth it and should be dine first so that you can explore and understand the city yourself later. the pub owned by the same company next door is really nice too, the Irish music and the irish dance is really interesting.

For easy going, non fussy travellers on a budget, this is the place for you. Definitely recommend this place to my friends :)

Just returned from spending three nights in the hostel. It was a lot better than expected, being used to staying and working in 4 star hotels I didnt know if I would like it but I was pleasantly suprised and would certainly recommend to others.

We arrived and were advised that there was only one key allocated to each room, this wasnt a problem for us as we had booked a 6 bed room so it was only our party in there, I guess it may be a problem if you were sharing with random people.

The room and bathroom we had was clean, and we were supplied with a fresh hand towl each day and it was mopped clean which was good!

The breakfast provided is basic but its all you need, fresh toast with jams and butter and fruit, along with fruit juices and tea/coffee. There was a basket of fruit left out during the day and tea and coffee available untill 8pm too which was an added bonus!

The staff in the hostel were more than helpfull no matter what time of day/night you spoke to them.

The location is fab! Near the river and near all the delights of temple bar aswell as the main shopping areas of the city not being far away.

The only downside was that it was quite noisy from the outside smoking area below our room, however, we didnt head to bed untill late/early morning so by then most of the noise has quietened down, and it was nothing a pair of earplugs didnt block out!

All in all, it was a fab trip and I would really recommend this hostel, it's great value for money and it's a great base to have when you want to go and explore the city!

It's in the heart of Dublin's Temple Bar and you can reach all other destinations easily. They have 24 Hour reception which is nice and continental breakfast includes also cereal and fruit. But kitchen closes already at 8pm. The rooms only have 1 key so you always have to ask reception and if nobody left it there you have to hope that somebody opens the door or go back downstairs and get somebody to open the door for you. I had to move rooms in between. The window of the first one went into the bar so you couldnt see any daylight and it was quite loud. The nightlights werent at the beds but at the opposite wall. Good if you want a central location but otherwise wasnt the greatest hostel.

Room Tip: My 2nd room was better. Room 25 because you could actually see out of the window and had a nice view...

Location is excellent. As is the bar downstairs. But hygiene leaves a lot to be desired

We arrived to discover vomit on the widow sill and in the sink and two members of our party picked up a vomiting bug during our stay. Also saw kitchen staff drop knives and replace them in the tray without washing them!

The shower in our room fused everyday yet we weren't offered a change of room rather we had to go down to reception every time.

The bar and location are great. But don't risk staying here. 3 days in Dublin 12 hours in bed. Doesn't seem worth it

Hostel with privative rooms also, just in the very downtown temple bar. Findinf a pub where having lunch/ dinner is really not a problem.......even drinking a beer. Good value for money. Suggested to smart people

I stayed here on 3 non-consecutive nights and got assigned to a different room each night. So I got to experience quite a range of problems with this hostel.

On Night 1, the electricity in the room didn't work. This also meant no heating. After numerous trips downstairs to reception to tell them about the problem, and going down to charge phones and cameras, and to see if they were any closer to fixing things, they managed to get the electricity back on in the middle of the night.

Night 2 there were no major problems, except the usual hassle of one key for 4 people.

Night 3 the shower didn't work at all. A roommate who had been staying in that room for a week had reported it to reception 2 days earlier, but nothing had been done. So not only was the problem not being fixed, but they were still assigning people to a room without a shower.

On the positive side the location is absolutely perfect, and the bar downstairs is good fun. It's pretty noisy but that is to be expected. The staff were also friendly and helpful.

I don't know if I just got a run of bad luck at this hostel, or if these sort of problems are common. But based on my experiences I couldn't recommend it.
