Excellent location at the Temple Bar area. Staff was wery helpfull and friendly! WiFi that worked well. Superb price/value! Only minor complaint is one key per room which sometimes is a challenge, but the staff will help you in anyway. Highly recommended!

Just returned from a fantastic weekend in Dublin and we visited this pub numerous times during our stay.

The place is brilliant, fantastic service, great music which made great atmosphere - this made 6 ladies very happy!!!

Will be returning next year for sure!!!

had previously visited this traditional irish pub in the heart of dublin because of live music all day and really enjoyed bringing friends from overseas to experiance abit of irish music, so on my latest visit, i decided to try out the accomodation as we were staying for the evening in dublin, i expected to rent a small room as it does not look very big and we had four in our party, we were given the top floor two bedroomed apartment and on arrival, it turned out to be a very large apartment with two bathroms, two bedrooms and kitchen and a balcony overlooking dublin, it was very clean, warm and had everything that you would need if you decided to stay for a week in the fair city, we were also given a free drink voucher for the pub to get us started, also the carpark next to the pub was normally 39.00 euros for the day, but if you stay in the hostel, then you get it for only 13.00 euros. as it is listed as a hostel, you think a place for young people, however the pent house apartments are not hostel like in any way. but the price that you pay per person for the apartment works out very good for dublin prices, i have stayed in various hotels in dublin and did not get the space that you get when you stay at this gem of a place. the only downside on our visit was that the showers were not working, but i am sure that if you were staying for more then a day then they would had sorted that out. all in all, i would highly recommend this venue for both staying at , as you are in the heart of dublin and dont have to go very far if you enjoy good irish music and a good pint of the black stuff.

Room Tip: if you in a party of 3 or more, stay in the penthouse apartments

Stayed here on the weekend of 26th October for two nights. There where 7 girls and we booked the whole of the 10 bed dorm. The room is very basic with 10 bunkbeds, one duvet, one pillow, one toilet, one shower and one sink. The beds where surprisingly comfy considering. The reception staff where frendly and we felt secure there. The location is perfect as it is slap bang in the middle of Temple Bar where the pubs and restuarants are. The hostel is noisey at night but that is not surprising as it is big and the people who stay there are are there for the drink really. I would rather stay in a hotel but given the price this place is ok. It could have done with a bit of TLC as theres mould and dirt in the bathroom and the floor was dirty, everythings a bit old and tatty. I probably would stay again as we hardly spent anytime in the actual room. If you are in Dublin for the ale then this is perfect to rest your head but if you are looking for something a bit more swishy then you need to stay somewhere else, but you will pay over the odds for it. We could have done with a mirror on the wall as the only mirror was over the sink in the bathroom and 7 girls trying to get ready made it difficult. Overall very basic and a bit tatty but considering the price, its exactly what you pay for.

There were 7 of us staying in a 10 bed dorm. We were nervous as none of us had ever stayed in an hostel before. We shouldnt have worried. The reception staff were lovely and really helpful. The room was basic but beds were really comfy and there was plenty of space. It is above a lively bar ( which i really recommend) so you could hear music until the early hours but it didnt bother us. The location is right in the heart of Temple Bar never needed a taxi anywhere as everything is within walking distance. Would recommend if your on a hen or stag party, everyone in the same room added to the fun!

Room Tip: Even though there were 7 of us i hired all 10 beds so no-one else would stay in the room with us.

I mislaid my Iphone in the room & this was reported to reception who informed me that maintenance had been in the room after I checked out & it wasn't found. I checked the room once again and the top of the fireplace where I saw it last, with no sign. Maintenance checked again and by a miracle they found it on top of the fireplace? I know it wasn't there when I last checked! In addition, the phone was dislodged from it's case where had been removed and replaced incorrectly. I'm no Miss Marple but someone had been dishonest & thought they would gained an Iphone. A bit disappointing after such a good weekend
