“A brilliant place to stay”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

Just got back from a fantastic break staying here. perfect position very close to all bars and places to visit. VERY friendly staff, good clean rooms and probably one of the best comfy beds ive slept in. Stayed in one of the apartments and we couldn't have chosen a better place. Very good price, clean and roomy. Brilliant views across the city. Cant thank everyone enough for the stay. You must visit the bar downstairs for an exciting and lively typical authentic Irish music and of course Guinness :-) just wished we could have stayed longer. Cant wait to visit again next year xx

Always stay here when we go to Dublin for the Scottish Rugby; £20 for a bed and a continental breakfast ... what a bargain. Location excellent as its in the heart of Temble Bar area of Dublin which is within a 2 min walk of all the main Irish bars. Staff very helpful and friendly. What more could you want when out for a weekend :-)

Recently returned from a trip to Ireland with 9 friends. We rented 2 self-catering apartments that sit atop this pub. The location was terrific, as we could walk to most of the best sites. It was a bit noisy, however we were there the week-end that Lady Gaga held a concert, so that brought out a lot of folks. Still in all, good place, good grub, and excellent music.

Room Tip: Didn't see any of the dorms, etc. Apartments good for families, or large groups wishing to rema...

4 of us were staying in a private room. 2 sets of bunkbeds, a mirror, a chair and a small cupboard - pretty much like I would imagine a prison cell to be! Bed linen was clean, as was bathroom, though in need of updating. Definitely wouldn't fancy staying there for more than one or two nights but for a cheap place to lay your head after a hectic night out in Temple Bar you couldn't beat it. Amazing location, Abakebabra across the road and, at the end of the day - you get what you pay for!

My boyfriend and me stayed in a double room. The room was small with a bunk bed but yet enough for us. However, our friends had a much taller room, allthough they booked later than we did. We had a shared bathroom which was very clean and smelled nicely. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed that breakfast was included and allthough the choice wasn't that big the most essential things were there. The biggest advantage of the hostel is the location in the middle of the party district. The noises for the party people on the street can be a problem if you have a light sleep or do not possess earplugs. Parking is also available for € 13 a day, which is quite cheap for Dublin city. All in all the cost-benefit ratio is good.

Just got back from Dublin and stayed at this hostel right in the centre of Temple Bar. Was really unsure of the hostel status and balked at the tiny room and bunk beds. Gotta say though it works really well! Clean and well run its location is fabulous! Breakfast was included (not that we got there) and the price was superb. Once you get past the shared bathroom and bare rooms its worth considering.

Would definately use again for a stag do.

Room Tip: Try to get a smaller room. The ones facing the front is noisy until around 2.30am but surprisingly t...

What a fantastic hostel. Location in temple bar couldn't be any better, and great for local bus services. Friendly & helpful reception staff, room was basis but clean and nicer bathroom than expected. Free breakfast of tea, coffee, juice, cereal, toast, cheese & fruit was great. Lively pub downstairs. Will definitely be staying here on my next stay in Dublin!
