But it's fairly crowded - if it wasn't so close to our hotel there is no way we would have made a special trip to the Pub. It was tough to get a place to sit. There a LOTS of rooms...not quite sure where the traditional music was...we never heard any.

Busy pub with just the right level of people noise and buzz to have a perfect ambience.
Three bar staff do a great job of getting people their Guinness with the minimum of waiting- no more than would be required for a Guineas, anyway.
Teeny tiny stage where the band set up. It’s basically the window sill! Popular music played rather than idly-diddly stuff the tourists go for.

Make sure to keep a sharp eye out for O'Donoghue's; especially the outside area in the almost too well hidden alleyway. Great Irish stew, service, and of course...the Guinness. And, it's where the Dubliners got their start and used to play. Seriously, how great is that!

My view is on the guesthouse provided by the Bar on the three storeys building which is centrally located within town centre. There are altogether ten rooms of the same price with different set up and size. However, each is equipped with toilet and shower facilities. There is no lobby or other facilities. For meals there are simple, moderate or expensive take away, cafe and restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
With regards to the rooms, they are tidy and in order and the staff are cleaning up the rooms everyday. The heater will automatically turns on in the evening and off in the morning. Bedding is comfortable.
I had five nights in the biggest room with three beds and the room is facing the Main Street. Although at night time the bars and restaurants are quite crowded, I do not feel disturb by noises downstairs.
On the whole I am satisfied with the accommodation.

A great collection of bars and a great pint of Guinness. Staff are friendly. Very busy spot but totally worth the visit.
