Owner description: A magnificent cathedral that houses Jonathan Swift's remains (he wrote Gulliver's Travels). It is the only remaining cathedral in Ireland with a daily sung services. A small entrance fee is charged for tourists and all money raised goes back to paying for the upkeep of the building.

This place is huge! And the stained glass is worth twice the entrance fee. Simply an amazing structure with centuries of well preserved history.

“Lovely church but pretty standard- nothing that memorable.”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

If you have seen one church you have seen them all! This one had a few nice gems like the Jonathan Swift history and some beautiful windows. I think it's worth the entrance fee- but only just! The park beside is a lovely place to sit on a nice day.

“Historically interesting”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

We spent 2 hours visiting the Cathedral this week. Very interesting. Lots of information. Lovely to see the music of Handel's Messiah. Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Gift shop was expensive, but so is the upkeep of the Cathedral, so understandable if they put the prices up to cover this. In all a very interesting and enjoyable visit.
