“must see Book of Kells”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

With the price of admission (10 Euro) you get a walking tour of the grounds of Trinity by a current Trinity student. After your 30 minute tour you then get admitted into the LIbrary where the book of Kells is stored. The exhibit is beautiful and features other books and illluminations. No cameras are allowed inside the library, but there are plenty of great books to purchase in the gift shop at the end.

“Beautiful Campus”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

We really enjoyed our visit to Trinity College, seeing the Book of Kells and the great shopping at the bookstore. The campus is beautiful and so vibrant with all the students and activity. This is a stop all visitors to Ireland should make!

“Free and gorgeous”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

It is free to walk around the grounds of Trinity College but only if you don't go to The Book of Kells exhibit. There is the Pav (Pavilion Bar) at the back near the sports fields which can be fun to drink in the grass on a sunny day. Many of the buildings date back centuries and they are cleaning up some of the dirt on them. There are lots of trees and grassy areas, so it is a nice escape in the middle of the city.

“Take the tour with the student”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

When you visit Trinity college, you can see just the Book of Kells area for about 9 Euro, or for one more Euro you can have a 30 minute tour of the campus with a Senior student before viewing the Book. The 30 minute tour is very worthwhile. The presentations in the Book of Kells area are excellent, so much so that when you finally get to the Book, it's perhaps a little underwhelming. A very good tour.
